We had 4-day hoppers for our trip in October (Mon-Thurs), 4YO DD in-tow. Here's how we broke it down. We had done WDW commando-style in 2000 and wife and I had been to DL many times before, so we took the slow-paced-highlights-and-a-little-more approach, never spending much more that 2/3 day in the parks.
Mon: Arrived early afternoon after early AM flight and took it really easy getting our bearings and hooking up with my brother and his family. Shut the place down at 8:00.
Tue: Made a Krispy Kreme run and arrived at California Adventure around 10:30. Hung around until around 3:00, pool break, and went to brother's house for dinner.
Wed: Character Breakfast at Plaza Inn at around 9:30 after skipping out of the line at Goofy's and hair-braiding. Went back to hotel around 12:30 for break and off-site lunch, then back again until 8:00 closing. Couple hours in Downtown Disney.
Thu: Another Krispy Kreme run. Arrived at DL around 9:30 and stayed until around 2:30. Met my folks and brother's family at Mrs. Knotts Chicken Dinner Restraunt at Knott's. Wife and I went to Knott's Halloween Haunt.
