I am busy planning a trip "out west" for summer 2007. I know, I know I am starting a bit early, but...

How many days should we plan to visit DL and CA? We plan on staying onsite and will probably want to try every attraction.

Thanks!

We did the Southern Cali pass this year in June it was great
Arrived hit some beaches
Day 1 Dl
Day 2 Knotts (now I think US is included)
Day 3 SDZ stayed the night in SD did a beach park there as well
Day 4 SW
Day 5&6 DL/CA
Day 7 more beaches trip back

This was all included (not beaches) in the SCP

If you want to hit every ride and show, I would recommend staying no less than five days at DLR. That should give you enough time to do both parks at a decent pace. If you are doing anything outside of DLR then just add on appropriate days accordinly. One for Knott's, 1/2 day for the beach, etc. Hope this helps!

In the summer, I think you can see everything in 4 days, IF you get up early and get to the parks before the crowds come. If you're unwilling to do that, you'll need more time.

It's possible to do it in 3 (2 days at DL, 1 at DCA) but you have to plan really well, and there isn't much time for downtime, particularly in the summer.

I agree! 5 Days for sure! :sunny:

I would say no less than 3 1/2 days. We usually go in the middle of June and we do everything we want in that time period. I would not mind a couple more days, but everyone else is always ready to go home.

We'e always done a minimum of 4 nights and 5 days. This'll give you a chance to head back to your hotel in the afternoon when it gets too busy and too hot in the park, especially during summer months, to relax at your hotel and maybe go for a swim.

The times we've gone, we always stayed 4-5 days, and let our kids set the pace (they are young, so we went sloooooow).

That's when we're planning to go also!!! This will be our first trip to Disneyland and we're planning on staying at the Disneyland Hotel. I'm so excited. I'm finding that it is too early to book anything. At least at Disney World you can book "room only" 500 days out but that's not the case at DL. My sweet wonderful AAA agent said it will be September of so before we can book. In the meantime, I've been reading everything I can find on Disneyland!!! At least I'm not alone while I'm waiting!!! :thumbsup2

I like to stay 3-4 days, but I do go off season. Since you are going in the summer when it is crowded, I'd say go 4-5 days.
