We will have 6 full days, tickets for 1 park per day. I certainly imagine spending 2 full days at MK.

How you would you break down the other 4 to ensure your 5yr gets the most out of his trip?

Also what would you do with 1/2 of your arrival day? I'm thinking unpack, pool & explore than maybe DD for dinner.

I personally would do a day each at AK, HS & Epcot and what about a day at a water park? ( depending on when you are traveling) if not I would add another day at MK for 3 total!

I'd save the last day to see what the child liked best.

We would probably use the other for Epcot as that is what my family likes best. (Honestly we'd probably only do 1 MK day).

I think our standard is going to be 2 MK, 2 Epcot, 1 AK and 1 HS. That is what we did on our last trip and it was pretty perfect

EP needs more than a day. If your child doesn't have any favorites yet them my generic suggestion is 2MK, 2EP, 1 HS, 1 AK. However, AK has been a flop for my kids several times, so that gave us extra EP time. We needed more time in EP than MK. (Some families love AK - so definitely try it out! I liked it when I went before I had kids but none of my kids enjoyed it much). For all three of my kids EP was the favorite park starting at 2/3 years old and still was at 5 for two of them. (The other has a trip at 5 coming up, so we'll see!)

We know that our kids will do better if they get enough sleep - and we don't want to start our trip out with tired kids. So, our first day is settling in, pool, maybe out to dinner somewhere like Sweet Tomatoes. (That's off-site though).

This was my line of thought - did you break up the 2 days at MK and Epcot or do them back to back than on to the next?

In the past, we've broken them up, but not perfectly. We use crowd calendars to help pick out which days for which parks. We just made sure not to do the same park in a row and that our last day was a repeat park. (Just in case illness struck!)

We do have two EP days in a row on our next trip, but that's due to taking a Y.E.S. class. We have 3 EP days on our next trip, so at least all three aren't next to each other.

This is what we do. 2MK, 1DHS, 1AK, 1EPCOT. Our last day is whatever the kids decide.

I am taking my DD (5) for 6 days and we are doing 2 mk, 1 ep, 1 ak, 1 hs, with the other right now scheduled for mk, but its up for change if she likes EP more.

The first half day is DD for us. We did it last time and plan to do it this time. I wonder if it would be better suited for the last day, though, to purchase souvenirs?

We always enjoy having lunch in DD, going back to the resort and relaxing and then going to the pool or having dinner somewhere simple like the resort cafeteria.

If arrival day is by mid-afternoon, I would add a ticket and do the afternoon at the park. It is so cheap to add one more day that it makes it cheaper to do than any other activity. We always do that 1/2 day at Epcot and the first full day at MK. We do hoppers so we break up days and 1/2 days but without them, I would do two at MK, and one at each other park and save the last day for a favorite to repeat. Just make any ADR for that day outside of the parks and you can be flexible.

We broke them up, which worked well too and definitely something we will be repeating. We did EP, MK, EP, AK, MK, HS...mainly because those were the best days for those parks on the crowd calenders. I think for future trips as long as the crowd calenders and any extras we want to do coincide (MS electrical parade) we will try to do one MK and one EP day at the start of our trip and then save the other days for those parks for last. It was a little sad leaving EP the second day knowing we wouldn't be back that trip because I *loved* Epcot.

Ugh, yeah, try it with a 6, 4 @ 1.5 year old... more like how many drinks per park after you're done!
