How Many Days Is Enough For Disney

We did 10 days last June and it was nice. We didn't feel rushed at all. We did realize afterwards that there was much we didn't see or do that we would have liked to, so this June we're doing 12 days. My feeling is a shorter time you may feel more rushed and to me a vacation should be relaxing enough to take it all in without all the hustle and bustle. Even with 80,000 other people there you can enjoy it if you use the daily guide from the unofficial guide showing which days are best for which park. It made a HUGE difference in our trip. BTW, in the 2007 guide they don't have it in there but it is at their site online. :thumbsup2

If you can do it I say 7-10 days. Sure you can do it in 5-6 but that really leaves you no down time. I don't like to feel rushed when I'm on vacation.

We like to do one long trip a year - like 9-10 days and then a couple of short ones like 4 day - We have annual passes and just watch for the deals on airlines (like $49 each way!) and use our AP discount for the hotel... then we get a little Disney fix every few months!!!!

We are going for 8d/7n in December. I would love to do 12 or so but finances and timing is just not going to allow it this time around. We need to fly to go (well we could drive from MA but that sounds like no fun to me) so I feel like to make it worth the airfare we need to stay at least a week.

We went for 5 days this past May. We loved it but did feel rushed and had no down time.So next year we are going for 11 days hope we have a little down time.

Using the latest technology, I've come up with a scientific formula for how long of a stay at Disney World is enough for the average person:

Long Enough Stay = (Number of days you can afford to stay) + 1

Now that's the best formula EVER! I love it!! :rotfl2:

On a serious note, we went for 6 days on our first visit and decided it simply was not enough. It was a go, go, go trip. Since it takes 1 full day to travel for us, we live in So. Cal, we literally lost 2 touring days. Our next visit will be for 10 days, minimum. More, if we can get the free dining!! :teeth:

Gabby & I have spent as little as one day in a park on a long weekend trip that included a Braves preseason game and La Nouba, but by far, it's much better when you have time to relax. 6 days isn't quite long enough to feel like we could squeeze it all in, but 8 days seemed almost too long, but Gabby was ill during that trip with some nasty upper respiratory bug, and the 3 night quick stay we did in September was good, but too short for us.

We are planning an 8 night stay for next October/November. We will be staying at FW and renting a travel trailer. This is a huge departure for us because we are bringing along our 4 Chihuahuas too. So park touring will be done as a block of time in the morning then walk the dogs and a block of time in the afternoon then walk the dogs and even on some nights a block of time in the late evening and then walk the dogs. It's going to be different, but the best part of all of this to me is that we will know that the dogs are safe and that it will force us to relax more than we usually do because the dogs will make us take time away from the parks.

Any time that we can steal away and get some pixie dust is always cherished time. Maggie

We did 8 nights a few weeks ago. We are headed back January 08. DH and I are disagreeing he says 5 nights but I argue that 2 of those days are travel days so that only gives us 3 full days in teh park. If I am going I am going to GO and DO and SEE and ENJOY. SO I am saying 7 nights and that will give us 5 days in the parks. Since it is January the crowds will be lower and we can get the parks done in the AM and lounge in the afternoon at the resort.

I think 7-10 days works out great. The last time we went for 10 days and it was nice because we weren't rushed and could relax at the resort or take the boats out. This trip we did WL package, we paid one price and had unlimited rentals for the boats/bikes. If we are there 7 days it doesn't seem to be enough time.
