How many days for DL?

I posted this over on the DL board, but thought I might also get some responses here as well. About how many days would be good for a trip to DL? DH and I have never been and want something different. This will probably be the only time that we go to DL/LA for 10-15 years so we hope to do both DL and LA. Any suggestions? Thanks!

If you really want to see everything that Disneyland has to offer, you should definitely plan on spending at least 2 days at the park. If you plan on going to the California Adventure park too, then you should add on a day or two. There is so much to do in L.A., so I think that you'll need at least a week there. Well, since you won't be coming back to L.A. for a long time, you'd better make it two weeks. If you have any other questions regarding Disneyland or L.A., let me know and I'll do my best to answer them (I lived in L.A. for a few years). Happy trip planning!

My husband and I and our 2 kids went to DL last July. We spent 3 days at both parks. That was plenty of time and probably could have done it in 2. California Adventure does not seem to have as much as DL. We also spent a day seeing Hollywood and a day at Newport Beach.
