How many days do you go for?

I say definitely the more, the better ;)

But seriously, I think you definitely need at least 3 days to get a majority of stuff done and 5 to experience everything (i.e see all the shows and parades and such). Plus, it gives you plenty of time to enjoy meals at different DLR restaurants and enjoy yourself instead of rushing through everything. So I say 5 :goodvibes

We usually do 5 days between the 2 disney parks. We are big ridemax fans for Disneyland. (Didn't find it as necessary for Disneyworld) We have been for some of the busiest dates disney has had (think 50th at Christmas), we can not afford to go more than every 2 or 3 years and fly from Canada so we always want to make the most of our day and we do not like standing in line. If any of this is true for you and you can get everyone on board, ridemax may be worth it for you. Just out of interest we went off ridemax for one afternoon - my family begged me to never do it again.

I went with 2 girlfriends and we stayed 5 nights. We got to the park around 11pm the first night, so we basically had 4 full days and a little extra on either end. I think 4 nights would have been better. We rushed a lot the first few days and got to see everything we wanted to see, but we were really sore and tired.

I went again for 5 nights with DH and my DDs (3 & 5) and we stayed for 5 nights, again with a few hours on each end. We could have stayed another day. It was wonderful...

We go every year and do 3 full days. In my trip report from last month you can see what we did in a day. I think three full days is perfect. We never travel or do anything else on those days. You can "extend" your trip to a 5 day trip easily without getting more park days and by just doing a day or swimming and playing at the hotel and Downtown Disney. There are a lot of activities at the Disneyland Hotel like a treasure hunt and stuff. We have never had time for it but always talk about it.

We have done 5 before when we just really wanted a long great vacation. When we do a 1 day we just do Disneyland and don't park hop.

June 2009 we did 3 full days (Saturday, Sunday, Monday) and two part-days (Friday we got in about 7 PM; Tuesday we left about 12:30 PM).

December 2009 we did 3 full days (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) and two longer part-days (Wednesday we got in about 2 PM; Sunday we left maybe 1:30 PM).

Both trips, we felt like we did ALMOST, but not quite, everything we wanted to do. That day in December, I honestly felt like we had a pretty full trip by the end of Wednesday!

I would say that for me at least, no matter how many days I went, there would probably be SOMETHING I'd wished I'd done but hadn't. So I prefer at least 3 full days, but as few as 1 could be satisfying I think, if it weren't for the darned drive. :)

We usually go 3 full days and are able to see/ride just about everything (going in May and August though). I would think that if it was a first trip you might need more days, but if you've been a few times, you can get all you want (as well as some re-rides of your favorite attractions) in 3 days. I do have to say that we don't spend any time using the pools though; as we don't have any small kids with us.

You can do it in 2 days, but for a first-timer, I would suggest 3 for a relaxed experience, maybe even 4! :)

First time trip to DL and wondering how long we should plan on going? How many full days do you need? How long do you spend at each park?

Thanks!:goodvibes

Five days is perfect for us and I have been hundreds of times. We tend to park hop a lot after the first full day in Disneyland though and usually take afternoon breaks daily. :goodvibes

I travel with teenagers in March or October so that makes a difference usually. We've done 3, 4 and 5 day trips. 5 was too long that time but would have been good this last time. We don't generally arrive until around lunchtime the first day and we usually leave between 3 and 6 pm on the last day.

I think I like our 4 days trips the best. We can kind of ease into it and we can catch anything we missed or want to do again amidst the shopping we do the last day.

Our first trip as a family was for 3 days, which we did not feel was enough time. The second trip was 8 days, which I thought was perfect. Our upcoming trip will be for 6 days.

Spending a total of 13 days in SoCal. Doing 6 days DLR. Universal Studios, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, 2 days Legoland, new water park, and sea life aquarium. We will be taking the 2 saturdays off, just relaxing, maybe going to the beach, doing a Goofy's Breakfast or something.

I always do the same itin....4 days, 4 times a year. And I always make it a point to see or do something I haven't done before and there's always something I haven't done before.

We usually stay for 7 days. This trip we'll be there for 8 days. IMHO, I could never be at DLR or in Southern California for too long! :cool1:

We generally do 5 full days, and possibly a half day for the day of arrival. I never get my fill, and we never do everything that there is to do. :thumbsup2

Sounds wonderful to me :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

My families annual Disneyland vacation is always a 10 day vacation. We usually get 7 or 8 day hoppers and spend a day in between doing something else fun. Like Universal, or Sea World etc. You can easily see Disneyland in 4 days. Anything under 4 feels very rushed, but we like to take our time, and then go back to revisit and see attractions before we leave. For folks like us who dont get to go as often as some, and for the price its nice to spend as much time as possible there.

FYI, they only have, at most, 6 day park hoppers now. Anymore might as well get the deluxe AP.
