I haven't been to SeaWorld in about 20 years. So, keeping that in mind, how many days would we need to go to Sea World to "do" it all? It will be me, DH, and our DS, who will be 5 for that trip. We have been to WDW 7 times in the past 3 years, so I figure I can probably spare a day or two to check out Sea World on our next trip! Also, thoughts on time of year to go would be helpful, too. BTW, my DS LOVES aquariums, whales, etc. if that has any bearing on the issue!

It can be done in one day; however, if your son loves aquariums as much as mine than plan on 2. Second day is free anyway. My son spends so much time just looking at the animals we always spend 2 days there and have since he was 4.

We have never had a problem getting everything done in a day, but if your son really enjoys sea life 2 days wouldn't be overkill. I have been in March, June, and September...all fun but the least crowed was September.

Enjoy!

YES, Day 2 is free, our kids always want to " Go back" for at least 1/2 a day to see a show, that we didnt see. As our youngest says " Sea World is
a lot better than that Sea thing at Disney":rotfl2:
Btw, we have been to Sea World 5 xs in 4 years.:thumbsup2

I would plan on two full days minumum, if you want to see all of the animals and shows.

We have gone to Seaworld in the past on 'seven consecutive day tickets' offered through Seaworld/Marriott packages. You can come and go as you please. Each time, we would spend about 1/2 day at Seaworld for about 3-4 days. We did this 2 years in a row and still haven't done/seen everything at Seaworld. My kids were not yet into the rides (except for Happy Harbour), so wait time for rides was not included. We also haven't done any of the special dining options, except for Sharks' Grill.

I just returned from SeaWorld. One day didn't even come close to being enough. If you are going at a time of year that is busy (like the last two weeks) it can't be done in one day. We didn't even see half of what they offer. It might be possible to doin one day during a slow time of year but I have my doubts just based on the times of the shows.

We were there in August 2007 and found 2 days was perfect for us. While the park wasn't crazy busy, there were moderate crowds. The kids ranged in age from 16 - 3.5 and every had a great time.

I also agree with 2 days for Sea World. Sea World is a much more relaxing park then the parks in WDW. There are alot of shows and they run on a schedule. It is important to check out the times of the shows when you get there in the morning. Depending on the time of year you go some of the shows might end earlier in the day. You might find that you are crossing the park a few times to make certain show times. There is alot of hand-on activities that I am sure you will get caught up in with a 5 year old.

Sea World is a great park. Have loads of fun.

If any of you have children going into 5th grade or up SeaWorld also has the best summer camp program. My daughter did it last year and absolutely loved it. She is going back this year -- actually wants to do 2 weeks even though she would be doing the same thing both weeks because she doesn't want to do the two week SeaWorld Busch Gardens camp that they offer. She doesn't care, all she wants to do is spend time at SeaWorld learning about the animals.

I have to agree with all of the other posters. Two days is needed in order to actually get all that you can enjoying the park. Sea World is a relaxing place, so you don't wanna rush what you don't need to. And Shamu Rocks is my favorite so if you can go take a nap in the afternoon and go back at night, I highly recommend it.

For your son, I would definitely say to take a bathing suit and let him spend some time over in Happy Harbour. They also have rides over there, a bounce house, gym. My girls still love it there and they are seven.

For you parents, ride Kraken. It is probably the smoothest roller coaster I have ever been on. If you ride while your husband watches your little one, they will give you a pass and he enters through the exit and does not have to wait in line...again. Journey to Atlantis is also okay, I just don't care for water rides when it's colder out here in Florida, lol!

Have fun!

Shamu, Shamu!

2nd day is free if you get your ticket validated at the CM booth inside the park, just on the left as you enter. Great park .. give it 2 days. So much for all ages. Elmo show is GREAT for the little ones. Shamu's happy harbor is wonderful for teh toddlers and pre-school types. Thrill rides for older kids. Shows for all ages including adults. I Love SeaWorld. Try to make it almost every trip to Diz area.
