How many days credit for a trip?

We are going to disney from August 25-31. Getting a 5 day park hopper pass so we won't go into the parks the day we arrive or day we leave anyways. Since we are staying for 6 nights-5 days... are we going to have 5 or 6 days of credits? Not sure how it works and I had trouble finding an answer online so I came to the pros : ) Thanks!

It is based on nights in lodging, not park tickets. How many nights are you staying in a Disney hotel? If it is 6 nights, it is 6 credits.
