How Many Days at WDW is Your Maximum?

In one trip, how many days max could you spend at WDW before it was too long?

This past October we went for 10 nights/11 days, our only trip this long in which we never left the mouse for the wizard. I was ready to go home this last trip, I missed my dogs. LOL

Our normal trips are usually 7 nights/8days which feel perfect.

I don't know that I could set a maximum. We did 12 days in the Disney parks in 2010 plus we spent some days in SeaWorld and Universal. It was a fabulous trip. We moved at a relaxed pace and did our favorite things many times.

I don't get so lucky most trips, but I like to plan a minimum of 4 full days - one for each park. I really prefer a week when I can swing it and consider anything over a week even more of a luxury that just being able to go to Disney.

The longest I have done is ten days. It was nice to visit at a leisurely pace. In recent year we do four days in parks and one extra day. I would like more, but four is pushing it for the others in my family.

Our first few family trips were 7 nights ( back when there were only 3 parks). It wasn't enough, and we would return home exhausted. Our longest was 12 nights, and it was too long. We were sick of hotel rooms, crowds, restaurant meals, crowds, lines, and did I mention crowds? The sweet spot for us seems to be 10 nights, which gives us time to schedule a couple of non park days for relaxing and recharging.

I voted 7-8 and for that I would need a suite and some non-park days. Then I'm ready to come home. BUT I could easily do that twice a year!

I'm in the +10 night camp. DVC makes it easy. We don't need to go the parks every day. Plenty of other things to do. We still have time to relax as part of the vacation instead of go go go go which is what many people end up doing and to me that is sad trying to fit it all in

I voted over 10 so I shall explain myself.

My answer, in all seriousness, would be an infinite number of days. I wouldn't necessarily go to the parks every day. Somedays I imagine I'll feel fancy and go dine at the gf. The next maybe I'll go on a trail ride. Or do some parasailing. Or attend a luaua. Go play at a water park. See a movie at Disney springs. Play some mini golf. Take a behind the scenes tour. Watch a movie on the beach. I could go on...

I've done one week w/ 5 days in the parks, wasn't enough. I then started doing 10 days w/9 days in the parks and love it. I really feel like I get to do everything I want at a pretty relaxed pace and I'm feeling almost ready to go home by the end of it, so that duration is about perfect for me.

We usually do 12 nights and I'm still not ready to go home. My feet may be killing and my body aching but I can stay forever and be happy!

I'm good there for about a week. We fly from the west coast, so any less doesn't seem worth it. But after a week, I'm Disney'd out!
Even then, we do other things while we're there.
Don't make me give up my pass

Our longest trip was 13 days in 2013 and it was not enough. We are doing 14 nights/15 days this trip and I cannot wait! We are doing 10 park hopping days, 2 rest days (resort hopping, Hoop Dee Do) one Disney Springs and our resort day, and one MNSSHP day. The last day is departure so not much but at the resort. This will be our last long trip for a while. It's for our 20th anniversary and its just me and my husband. Heaven! That long with family is stressful. This is fun adult couple time type trip. Margaritas!!! The next will probably be just a week because of costs and work. My boss really didn't want to let me off the 2 weeks this time.

Only 12 day trip about killed me .... not because of the parks or hotel (POP) .... but because I was on the QSDP and by day 5 ... was SO done.

We do some short trips (4-5) days but mostly long trips (8-10) and they work best for us.

Our first trip was 9 nights i believe, last trip in August was 15 nights, and the only reason i wanted to go home was because I missed my husband. 15 nights by myself with 3 kids, and we had a blast. we are going in May for 11 nights, and in August for 12 nights. I think i could easily spend a month at disney.

The least we have done is 7 days. We have done 11 days and hopefully doing 14 days this summer. We never get tired of it. It is nice because you can do it at a better pace. We have never left there saying it was too much yet and I bet we never will.

We usually always do 8 days, 7 nights. In November I stayed 10 days, 9 nights and it was really perfect. I went down by myself, so it was a lot easier booking a long trip.. and I met up with friends who were down the same week. I felt so much more relaxed. Usually when I arrive, I go straight to Epcot after check-in. This time I stayed at the resort and just relaxed, because I knew I had more days than usual. This year we are doing 8 days, and I am traveling with 5 others, so I couldn't talk them into 10 days. In 2017 I am probably going to go for 10 days again. Fly out on a Thursday and come home the following Saturday, so I only miss 7 work days.

We did 7 days and it wasn't enough. Granted, for the most part, they were 5 hour days in summer. So, in the heat of summer doing partial days ideally I'd want probably 10 including a water park day - do some mornings and have the afternoons free, do some evenings in park, have the day free, probably do a couple longer days. Lots of down time, lots of Disney time. But, if I were able to go during the cooler seasons, say Nov - January, I would probably be content with 6 days, doing "full" days, say RD to supper.

We always go for 14-15 nights. There's so much to see and do, in parks and beyond parks. It's nice to have a real vacation and not feel rushed to cram it all in!!

Our first trip was 9 days and while we didn't run out of things to do, it was too long for us. The heat, stimulation and crowds got to us, along with all the walking. We had a great time, but when we went back we stayed 6 nights and it was a much better experience for us.

We like relatively short trips, but that's how I feel about any vacation. I start to get homesick after about a week. It's good for Disney because it always leaves us wanting more.
