How many days are enough???????

We went for 14 nights last year, and while it was enough it was our first trip so we didn't have any true relaxation days.

Now with free dining offered for UK residents we're going for 21 nights in September. I think it will be more relaxing and I'll be ready to come home after that. Although after 21 nights of dining plan whether I'll fit in my pants is debatable!!

This 7 night trip coming up is actually my longest trip to WDW since I was a small child. I have been on lots of smaller trips, around 4 or 5 nights. I am so excited to have 7 nights because I won't feel as rushed! We originally planned for 5 nights but I felt that with two young children, it would be very hectic and we wouldn't get to see everything. Since we live in MA I convinced DH that it made no sense to have a shorter trip because with the MYW tickets, the only added costs were food and hotel. Honestly, I'd love a 2 week trip, 10 days at WDW and 4 at Universal/Sea World but our budget won't allow for that.

We have been doing 6 or 7 days, but I'd much rather at least 10 days so we could put the water parks in there and even Universal. I think we are taking next year "off" to have another child, but then in 2008, I'd like to go for 10 days at least. Probably in early May. I think it all depends on the several factors the other posters have mentioned, though.

...how many days are enough also...

We usually go for about 3-4 or 5-6 nights at time, and we always talk about what we missed and need to go back and see. I would love to stay 2 full weeks! I would love to challange myself to get tired of Disney! :rotfl:

Luckily we live in FL and can go a few times a year. So far we are not sick of anything and feel like we haven't even scratched the surface!

December 16!!! WOOHOO! :mickeybar

I guess we're a bit different than most in that we mix it up.

For example, we just did 9 nights/10 days at AKL - and it was way too short! But we're about to do 4 nights/5 days at YC and we're looking forward to a "get in quick, get out quick" experience like we first did at WL three years back.

We're always sorry to leave, but we know (the Lord willing) we'll be back and we like our lives back home too!

Sometimes...10 days is just too short. ;)

We usually stay 7-8 days down at WDW and consider that a quicky, lol. 10 days is ideal for us. But you know, as long as you enjoy what you can for however long you are there, it should always be fullfilling and never enough. ;)

Everyone has their own "perfect length of vacation". Since DH and I seem to have a hard time relaxing on vacation, it normally takes us at least 3 to 4 days before we actually relax. If we are only gone a week then we immediately get up-tight knowing the trip is half over! So, we like to go for a minimum of 10 nights to a maximum of 14 nights. That way when we reach that "Hey! We're on vacation!" relaxed feeling we still have a good week to 10 days in front of us!

Yep, we are just two type A personalities! :yay:

We've done anywhere from 4 to 8 nights.

Honestly, I always leave happy. Yet I could easily have filled many more days. Um, weeks...well, maybe months...

Oh, what the heck...I need a bottomless, refillable, non-expiring Disney fix. I might as well just put the big Mickey head on myself right now and get it over with.
Yeah, that pretty much sums it up.

We.ve done from 4 nights, long, long ago, to now were into the 9-12 nights. I think for us 12 nights might be the limit. We have seen everything and done everything, shopped till we dropped and had plenty of down, non park days and after the 12th day, we were ready to come home. We wouldn't want to stay so long to get burned out and not anticipate another trip. The 4-6 nights vacations in WDW are just to short to get it all down leisurely, and I'm thinking the 8-12 night stay is just about right, unless they open another theme park.

I did single days as a kid, only went to MK, Epcot wasn't around yet.
In '04 went for 4 nights 5 days stayed at CR and felt like we missed a lot but didn't rush, afternoon naps are good for pre-schoolers and their parents, we never even walked around the resort, just from car or monorail to our room and Parks.
Went in January for a day at MGM while in town for other business, had fun did what we wanted and missed a lot too. Stayed at Grovesnor (Not our fav place to stay)
Staying for 8 days/nights this Thanksgiving at ASSp in 2 rooms hoping not to miss as much.
I'd like to stay at FW in a cabin 14 days with a 10 day ticket enjoying the resort and parks at a leisure pace. IMHO

I seem to add an extra night every time I go. The first year was five nights, the second six, and the very last time was seven. I think this qualifies as an addiction, needing just a little more to get the same fix. :rotfl:

It does depend on the time of year...in the winter 4-7 days is good. In the summer you need 7-9.

I'm also going 8 nights/9 days. I would have liked to go for 12 days, but its just too much money and too many days off from work. I think it takes a while to see all of it and still have rest time in between. But of course, even if I could go a whole month, it wouldn't bother me since its disney world!

My DD (age 24) and I go 2 or 3 times per year (DH not a huge fan, stays home) and we stay 10 nights each time. but, we also have AP'S for Universal and Sea World and spend alot of time over there too. so we are not just seeing Mickey every single day while there. but we do stay on Disney property. anywhere else just wouldn't be as fun. we could stay a month and never get bored with it.

Our first trip was 5 nights/6 days
2nd was 6 nights/ 7 days
3rd was 8 nights/9 days
4th was 9 nights/10 days
5th was 10 nights/11 days -Perfect. Got to do everything & relax too!!!!

I would like between 11-14 days to feel like we really had time to soak in the Disney magic.

We do only 7 days each time, I could always do more, but dh says that's all he needs. I don't feel too bad b/c we have dvc and that ensures that I will go back. I'd like to do an 10 day though. I think that would be just right for me. DH told DD that he missed Disney (we were there in March) but don't tell mom, of course DD told me. I think I'll be getting that 10 day sometime soon. We go about twice a year for 7 days, so I don't feel to "deprived." :woohoo:

I never want to leave..... However, our last trip was for 7 nights. By the end, I was really ready to go home. I hurt my ankle before we left, and the stress from our wedding.. I think we'll go 6 nights next time.

I gave up and finally moved to Florida. I'm a half an hour away and go twice a month. (Though this month with Food and Wine we are going more.)

So lets see, 2 times a month x 12 months = 24 days.
That should be enough. :rolleyes1

You don't get really soar feet this way either.

So that's the answer move to Florida. :rotfl:

TTFN!
