How many days do you plan your vacation for and feel like you are satisfied??? The last two times I went we booked for 6 nights and honestly I still felt like I missed out!!! What do you think?
Actually I suspect the length of stay depends upon several factors. Such as: (1) Size of your party, and ages of children; (2) Distance from your home to WDW; (3) Budget; (4) Length of time between trips to WDW; (5) Number of side trips planned; (6) the time of the year you visit; (7) Your style of park touring; etc.
On my solo trips to WDW I normally book for five nights, arriving at The World at about noon on the first day. (This will be the case with my upcoming trip the week after Thanksgiving.) My personal itinerary for the visit allows for a relaxing visit to each park, with plenty of time between attractions, and meal reservations made well ahead of time, and with a minimum of backtracking in the parks.
This gives me four full days at WDW, and there are four parks. I add time at Epcot by also visiting that park for the evening of my arrival day, and add time at the Magic Kingdom by going to the Christmas Party on the day I'm at that park, and use the evening time of the Animal Kingdom day for a visit to Downtown Disney, usually seeing the Circus.
So the five night stay adds up to a full day at the Studios, a full day at the Animal Kingdom, a very long day at the Magic Kingdom, and a day and a half at Epcot, plus an evening at Downtown Disney.
Someone once asked me "When do you rest?"
That's easy, I reply "I'm never worn out because I'm never in a rush. But if I ever do need to rest, I'll do it when I get back home."
Enjoy.
