How many coats do you have?

full coats................3 and rarely wear them
2 raincoats

I own one real coat that I wear when I have to travel to the UK, which obviously hasn’t happened in a year! The next best after that I would describe as a hoodie.

4 currently plus several zip up hoodies that I wear as coats when its not as cold.

-winter dress coat
-winter fleece coat
-older winter puffer coat I use while shoveling
-newer winter puffer coat I use the majority of the time when I go out to the store etc.

I have a lot of coats. I have two very warm ones for our coldest weather and another one that is water repellent for rainy days. The rest of my coats just hang in the closet.

Two hardly ever get to wear them wear I live which is great. I’m from New Jersey it doesn’t get cold like it use to. Only a couple times a year it gets cold enough to wear one. Has to be in the teens for me to wear a jacket. Going to have some cold weather next weekend New Jersey but I will be in wdw.

I have 3, but I generally only wear one of them. One of them I like, but I haven't worn in several years, I should probably just get rid of it. The other is way too hot for our usual weather.

How many coats do you have?

Depends on what you call "coats". If you mean any sort of heavier outerwear, waist length or otherwise - I have about 10 (maybe more).

2 raincoats (longer, past my knees).
1 knee length parka
1 thigh length coat
6 or so waist length jackets/coats.

I would say 4 actual winter coats of various heaviness and levels of dressiness. I also have 2 lighter ones that I would call jackets that are both very casual. Mostly in the winter I wear quilted vests—they are much more comfortable for me.

At least a dozen, maybe more. There are very, very few days in a year where I live that don't require a coat of some sort.
I probably have as many coats but not for the same reason. I am cold natured and have numerous coats in many colors. I usually purchase classic items that can be worn for years. 😬

1 down coat (for when I travel outside Southern California), and 1 light coat, then a bunch of black sweaters

1 work coat as in heavy for winter. I need to replace it years ago, sleeves ripped up and now finally the zipper doesn't zip every time which sometimes is lousy for shoveling snow where other times I'm shoveling snow in shorts.

1 decent jacket that I wear when not working and if cold enough I have flannels I wear under it. I don't 'wear flannels as shirts.

I'm hot all the time, as I said, yes I don't bother dressing up all the time to shovel snow if it's like a balmy 35 F out. Passed out a couple years ago from heat stroke while I was cycling (wasn't actively riding, I stopped and passed out.) Something broke in me and now I'm burning up all the time far worse than prior.

Oh forgot about the motorcycle jacket. Tried it on in the store, it fit. Didn't think of sitting on a motorcycle and it bunches up terribly.

In fairness, some of mine are super-old; 15 years or more. I've got one faux fur that might even be older but I'll never get rid of it. It's honey brown and has a fluffy hood - wearing it channels my inner Winnie the Pooh. ;)
