How many Christmas Cards did you get this year?

We got TWO measly cards this year! TWO!!!! I know I don't send out that many, around 20 or so, but we always get 10 or so. Anyone else get shut out in the Christmas card department????

and I have NEVER EVER SENT a christmas card

Wow, some of you send more cards than I know people! We got 6 cards, I didn't send any this year.

We received about half the number we have always received (over the last
25 years). I really think the economy is not that great, and people are
cutting corners on discretionary spending. I did notice it too! I don't count
them, but I definitely noticed we received far less.

I haven't sent out any in years, and we just moved this year, so I didn't expect much. We usually get about 20. This year, we got 2. No big deal. Then just went to the mailbox today. There were 9 in there! Looks like everyone was just late. Not complaining - like I said, haven't sent any out myself in years!

That's exactly why I stopped. I thought, what do I typically do with the cards I get? Um, honestly, "Aw! That's sweet, cute picture, lovely card, etc." Then they go in the trash.

oh and all the great aunts and cousins love getting the pictures of the kids and will comment when I see them leter - even if they don't send a card back - it is no big to me)

I sent out 47, and got 56...including one letter from a lady informing me that she and her husband were divorced, so take them off of next year's list!

I don't spend a lot on cards...I usually hit the after Christmas sales and get them very cheap. I spent more on postage than I did the cards this year.

We only got about 25 this year, definitely less than in the past. The strangest was from the wife of my boss. He died in September and she sent out a card filled with photos of him, his obituary and remembrances of him from other friends and relatives. When I opened the card and saw his photo, I dropped it, it was such a surprise and a little spooky. I normally keep all of my cards out on display on table with Christmas stuff, but that one I put away, it made me feel so wierd!

I was bad this year, I've got the cards, made the labels, even updated our website so I didn't have to include "the letter" figuring if folks really wanted us to know what we were up to, they could check it out..... never got the cards in the mail.

I have not been to my mailbox since Friday - so there may be more there now - but I would say I got about 15 so far, college friends, and family. I figure I will send a New Year's card to those folks so they don't think I fell off the face of the earth! I used to get 30-40 cards!

I used to, but I've been in college since 1996, and between November and mid-December is always my busiest time for final projects and final exams, so I gave up on it. I might start back up when I finally graduate.

I sent out 40 and got 35 back. It's nice to hear from people that you just don't get to see as often as you'd like.

I would guess I got about the same as I sent- somewhere around 40.

I don't think the economy has any reason to do with why people do or do not send cards...it's time that is the factor for most people!

anyone notice more picture cards this year? Normally we get 3 pictures, this year we got 8 !!!
