My kids are older now & could care less about the characters & I couldn't be happier. We used to do at least one or two a trip, but now we just avoid them for the most part. The only time we attend a character meal is if we are with family or friends who insist on going, and then we just grin & bear it. I will say that during our last trip we went to 1900 Park Fare & the food was good & the ugly stepsisters were comical, but I'd rather eat without interruption.

When we go to Disney, we only spend 5 nights, 6 days and usually have 3-4 character meals planned. I have two nieces, 5 and 2 who love them.

Here is our history of which ones we've gone to:

Sept 06: Chef Mickey's bfast, Liberty Tree Tavern dinner and 1900 Park Fare dinner

Sept 07: Crystal Palace bfast, Princess Storybook at Norway lunch, and Chef Mickey's dinner

This Dec 08: Crystal Palace bfast, Cinderella Royal Table bfast, 1900 Park Fare dinner and Garden Grill dinner

I hope someday to be able to say that we have attended all the character meals.

Last Easter we stayed on site with the DP for the first time and ate at Chef Mickey's. This year, Easter again, I have a Chef Mickey Dinner and hope to get a Crystal Palace Dinner. It's a great way to see the characters, take pictures without spending time in line!

We usually do two per trip:
Donald's Safari Breakfast
and
Liberty Tree Tavern....now I suppose after this December, the LTT will be no more for my beloved character meals...but I hope to try Garden Grill sometime!:yay:

We usually do one, but this next trip we may skip them altogether. Most of the character meals are buffets, which we are not huge fans of in most cases. I do have a 15 yo son, and he still does love the disney characters, but he tends to now appreciate them most from afar. :lmao:
