Hi,

I was just wondering if there is a limit of cars allowed per room when staying onsite at ASMu. We're driving up in 2 cars becaue one of us is leaving earlier than the rest and was wondering if they get the same free parking at the resort too.

Also do resort guests have a different parking or preferential parking spaces at the parks?

Parking at the resorts is free...at least that has been my experience to date. You will get a piece of paper that you can put on your dashboard that entitles you to free parking at the parks I believe. How many will you get? I can't say for sure....at least one per room. As far as how many cars you can have at the resort, I don't think it matters. There is no assigned parking. Everyone gets the same shot at all the spots. Same at the parks..resort guests park in the same area as off-site guests.

The only place it matters is at the Epcot Resorts, and the MK Resorts. There, if you don't have a hotel parking pass, you'll often be limited to parking for three hours only.

I don't believe Disney has a firm policy about number of cars per room. If you ask, they'll probably state that the limit is one (or perhaps one per bedroom). While this might be too big of a risk for you, you may have to wait until you check-in, explain your situation to the desk supervisor, and see if you can negotiate for a second hotel parking pass.

My boss did attempt to do this in January at the Yacht Club, to no avail. :(

At All-Stars, I've had 4 parking passes before in one room. (Met up with 3 other lady friends and we all drove in from different locations and shared a room).

The only restriction I've heard about is at Ft. Wilderness, where only 1 car can be parked at the site, the rest of the cars have to be parked in the front parking lot.

At the Poly only one per room is allowed.

If they only give out one parking pass per room and multiple adults are sharing a room and drove their own car in, where are they supposed to park??

Yes, parking at some of the resorts is limited, but many many guests fly in and don't have cars, and for those guests that do drive or rent a car, most of the rooms will have only 1 car.

I really find it hard to believe that the small percentange of guests that might have two or more cars for their room would be told they can't have additional parking passes for those vehicles.

I asked in June at the front desk for a second pass as a friend was coming to stay and was indeed on the reservation. I was told that there in one pass issued per room. They said he could valet the entire time though so that is what he did. There isn't much parking at the Poly so I don't blame them. I'm sure they will let you valet the extra car. No biggie.

we regularly get two at DVC and have had three in past

At Pop Century.. we had another friend drive in from Tampa and join the reservation on the third day of our stay.

We went to the front desk and got another parking pass no problem. I don't think you'll have any problem doing so at a value resort. Parking is plentiful there.

At some of the Deluxe's around the MK area.. parking is at a premium and you may have more trouble in that environment.

Yeah, I've often met people from other parts of the state, so we've had at least two cars on property.

This is one of those rules that Disney implemented to address rampant abuse that was going on. One of the reasons a lot of folks are so concerned about abuse that doesn't technically impact them personally is because often Disney has been forced to put rules in place to address abuse that adversely affect everyone, including folks who would be using the offerings honestly. In this case, as DaisyD indicated, honest folks are forced to pay the valet fee all week for extra cars.

We received passes for two cars at WL. DD and I flew down and rented a car; DH drove down and only stayed for a few days.

We also received passes for two cars at POFQ and POR on two different occasions when grandparents joined DD and me for a couple of days.

Each time it was no problem and the CMs handled it like they routinely do it.

My guess is that you'll have no problem at an Allstar resort.
