It would help if we also included the size of our weddings.

I'm have the intimate wedding, so that's 18 guests plus me and DF. Now DF cannot decided between two friends for Best Man so he's having both stand. So, I'm debating just one MOH or a MOH and bridesmaid. If I do both then out 20 total people, six will be standing!!

Hey it's all good! Ours is an intimate too.... I've got one MOH, 2 bridesmaids... then there will be the BM and 1 groomsmen... Just couldn't leave anyone out even though like 1/3 of us will be standing

I really only wanted three (at the most) on each side but my DF really wanted his cousin (who is being shipped off in the Navy) to be a groomsmen.

I guess it's his wedding too...right!?

So...total we have 1 MOH, 3 BM, 1 BM, 3 GM, 1 flower girl. We're not having a ring bearer considering the fact that we don't know any little boys!

I had seven bridemaids in my wedding. My husband has a lot of friends. I wanted 2 or 3 tops. If it were up to him all of his friends would have been in our wedding. Then I would have had 10-12 bridesmaids and that is just plain silly. My wedding felt like a circus with all of us sitting at the head table. Which isn't my style at all. I like simple and sweet.
I suggest you do what makes you feel comfortable.

I'm probably going to end up with 4--DF has 3 very close friends that he wants to ask to stand up with him, as well as his brother, and I've got two sisters, my FSIL, and my best friend.
