How many Billies?

How many "families" of Billy Hill are there? I was there last year and heard a guitar solo of Stream, and would like to hear that again. If there is more than one crew, is the show basically the same? Is it the same script all day?

There are currently two teams of Billies that perform. The Green team was retired in February of this year, and now only the Gold and Blue teams remain. Billy Gold performs Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Billy Blue performs Sundays and Mondays.

The different teams do have different songs/routines.

I am not remembering the faces well, but I most definitely remember the leader of the green team. Sad to hear those talented musicians aren't performing there anymore.

I'm going friday - wed. Should I plan on seeing both teams? Is there enough differences that my wife won't think I'm crazy for going twice?

You're asking the wrong person cuz I'd go every day! I love me some Billies!

They will have different routines and I'm sure your wife would enjoy both. Just don't get her too close to the lead (Kirk Wall), or she may become infatuated like me and some other DisBoard ladies.

Definitely see both. It worth your time and a hidden treasure. There are times where my girlfriends (Mom's Day Out. We tell our husbands that it is cheaper than therapy!) and I will sit to watch one show after another. We just love them.

Always a great show. There are 6 regular Billies, and several subs who appear occasionally when someone is on vacation, or sick, or whatever. No matter which combination you see, you get one of the best entertainment experiences at the DLR (best entertainment experiences anywhere, IMHO).

I totally agree! The Billys are one of my very favorite things to do at DLR, and my husband and I will often go to more than one show a day when we are in the park.
