How many bathrooms do you have

1 1/2 bathrooms and both have extra paper under the sink.

The full bath which is on the main floor, with the bedrooms, has reading materials but the 1/2 bath upstairs in the bonus room is bring your own.

We have 5 bathrooms and when we buy another house one day I wouldn't want fewer than 5! Well, maybe if the kids were all gone, but with 3 kids and 2 adults, 4 out of 5 bathrooms are used everyday. The 5th bathroom is really the guest bathroom and it's on a different floor than the rest of the house (other than the guest room), but our laundry room is also on that floor so I actually am there a lot (of course!), so I use that bathroom periodically. Sometimes the kids too, as they play int he guest room a lot.

I think one per person is a good rule of thumb, plus perhaps a half bath on the main floor. We're just a family of four, however, and we're not adding any more humans to the family. The 6.5 baths is actually comprised of eight "toilet rooms"; four "full baths", i.e. with a bath and shower (master suite, the kids' suites and one guest suite), two "three quarters baths", i.e. with just a shower (one in the playroom and one in the other guest suite) and two "half baths", i.e. just a toilet and sink (both on the main floor) and it's just too much to keep clean. Plus once we had one toilet in a part of the house we never go to that was apparently running for a full month and our water bill jumped something like $100 (which is when we shut them down).

I just wish we had a smaller house a lot of the time. It would be so much easier. Unfortunately, with the kids now in school and being close to our neighbors, we're probably here for a while.

We have 2.5 baths. Plenty of TP, when I buy it and break it up among them as soon as I get home from the store. As for reading material... none. It's just something I'd ever want to do. Besides our cats (we have 4) like to come visit us then. For me it's usually it's MoeMoe who likes to sleep sprawled out in the master bathroom tub. :cat:

2, and it's never even occurred to me to put reading material in them. It's just not something that we need around here. You go in, you do your business, you go out. :confused3 The only time I'm in there long enough to "read" is when I'm having irritated bowel issues and during that time I feel like I want to die so the last thing on my mind is reading material.

I live on a farm in rural Alabama... the whole outdoors is my bathroom. ;)

But seriously: 2.5, with reading material in all.

(Plus an old de-activated cellphone with Sudoku and Texas Hold'em games still on it in a drawer in one of them... I frequently use that to pass the time. :guilty:)

3.5 for us--no reading material! It's hard enough to get the kids to read in general!:lmao: As a family of four, having this many bathrooms is soooooo nice! I can't imagine how y'all survive on less!

4 and 1/2 bath and no reading material:rolleyes1.

2 full and 2 half bathrooms. No reading material...i have thought about it but last thing I want to do is encourage my DH to stay in there longer!! :rotfl2:

3 full baths. My bathroom has books and a magazine or two. DH's bathroom and the guest bathroom do not have reading material. DS waits until the very last second, so no time for books for him. DD will sometimes take a book, but she decides to go and sit in the morning when we are ready to leave for work and school, so I guess with me hollering at her to hurry, she can't read too well! Doesn't matter how early I get her up, she is going to be in the bathroom at time to go!!!! :headache: :rotfl2:

4 bathrooms. Reading this it is incredible to see how are society has changed. I grew up with one bathroom for 6 people. It is fine now we need one for each person. Can't wait to downsize so I don't have to clean them all. No reading material either.

2 full, 2 half; plenty of paper in both.

No reading material! This is not a library! Get in...Get out! :lmao:

1 bathroom for the 4 of us (2 kids, 1 tween DD, and 1 8 year old DD)....it's getting VERY difficult now that the girls are getting older and spending more time in the bathroom getting ready!:scared1: We hope to add at least a 1/2 bath in the basement in the next year or two!!!

No reading material... gotta make sure we get 'em in and out fast so others can use it! LOL!:lmao:

I think it's a matter of logistics. Growing up we all knew the bathroom was for specific purposes: bathing, toileting and shaving. Any primping, makeup, hair stuff, etc was done in our bedrooms. It's why we all had mirrors on our bureaus.

Now everyone has to do all that in the bathroom. :confused3
