We will have either 4 or 5 days in the park. I want to make my kids autograph books as a christmas gift(it's part of the surprise saying we are going) About How many pages should I have, how many do the ones at Disney hold? thanks, just trying to get a rough idea, this will be our first time doing all of the parks so I have no idea!

We just got back from a trip where we had made our autograph/scrapbook. We used one of the 5x7 books. Turned out really cute. It came with 35pages. We came no where close to filling it up, but this trip the kids were more interested in the rides than the autographs. When we went earlier this year they were very much into the characters. I think it all depends on the crowd level and how much time you want to spend waiting for an autograph. Also, the # of character meals helps.

We average a little over 40 each trip. We usually come back with 3 completely filled autograph books (the ones where you put the picture beside the autograph.) These hold 14 autograph pages. DD is very into characters so we seek them out, plus we do a LOT of characters meals to avoid standing in long lines to meet them.

Hope this helps! :)

From September 4-10, 2005 our DS then just turned 2 got Mickey 6X, Minnie, Dale, Chip and Goofy 3X, 2 from Tigger, Pluto and Donald and single ones from Rafiki, Stanley, JoJo, Buzz, Woody, Jessie, Stitch, Flik, Eeyore, Pinnochio, Pooh, Piglet, Gepetto, Suzy, Perla and Cinderella. One might ask why the multiples from so many. We went into the trip thinking he'd never come close to the characters. Wrong. He didn't care if Mickey signed his book once, twice or three times. There was Mickey again and he wanted an autograph, hug and then high-five in that order. Also Flik overheard me calling DS by his name in line and personalized the autograph-nice touch!

We usually go to WDW for 8 nights/9 days & my kids get about 60-70 autographs each...some are doubles though.

We travel off season after Thanksgiving, stay 7 nights, and will do about 3 or 4 character meals during our stay. We visit each of the parks and my 9 yr old daughter will usually fill 2 of the Disney 5x7 autograph books completely. The lines for character greetings are very short this time of year and often you'll find characters that are just standing around in sections of the parks with no one nearby.

I had been thinking of trying to avoid the autograph collecting thing altogether, but since I've joined this board I've read so many times how much kids enjoy that. Is it really that much above and beyond meeting them and getting a hug and a pic? If so, do each of your kids keep a small back pack on them, or do you hold all of the books and markers for your whole party all day?

How are the Disney autograph books arranged? A page for an autograph facing a page for a pic? Is the pic part just with the paper corners to hold a pic to a page or what?
