I believe the birthday sandwhich offer is also a thing of the past.

My daughter whose Birthday just passed got a free brownie with purchase (not sure if it was just a sandwich or full meal.)

One cheap "meal" that fills me up(I'm not a big eater) is the skewers of beef/chicken/veggies that you can get at the permanent little food stand in Adventureland. I can't remember the name of it, but my favorite is the chicken skewer. It's delicious,filling and under $5.00.

Yum! That is the Bengal Barbeque. I think they are shorting the chicken skewers though. Because I swear when I was there last (July 2015) like man I have a whole story there! But....in a nut shell, my skewer looked like it had been robbed I tell ya! Positive they use to be larger. Not that one. It was like the tiniest chicken, smaller than a big chicken nugget man. That didn't hold me for very long. Lol....
I figure if that is the worst it got that day, then I didn't have any real problemos. Lol

Thank you for all of the help! I forgot to mention that I was vegan, but I am sure I will be able to find options as there seem to be so many choices; I can't wait to try the baked potato. I will keep my receipts and report back on how well I did.

There are various articles online about eating vegan at DLR. Try Googling to see what you can find. The one blog post I can think of off hand is by Vegan Cowgirl.

I've done the parks under $40 with 2 adults. We had free breakfast and shared meals in the parks. I think you can do it!

I just got back, and I was able to keep my food purchases under $30 each day. I was able to get a vegan sandwich at Award Weiner's for $8 that was amazing, and the vegan burger at Carnation Cafe was a great sit down meal for under $15.

The burger was a handmade patty made of beans and veggies on a whole wheat bun. The veggie sandwich was sauteed peppers, onions, and mushrooms on a hoagie with mustard and BBQ sauce.

Yes they are, and reasonably priced. Not vegan, but very yummy.
