How loud is Coral Reef Lunch?

I made a 12:30 adr for lunch at Coral Reef but have heard it's very loud in there.

How loud is it really??? (Compare to Sci-Fi, WCC ...) I know loud is subjective and I've found just about all dining at disney to be on the loud side.

My mother HATES loud places and I may try to switch to Garden Grill.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

I've only been to the coral reef once, and it was for lunch, and I didn't find it loud at all. We sat down by the aquarium windows- not right at the windows, but right across...

it's a bit noisy, because there is so much tilework in that room (on the floors, up the walls...) - hardly any fabric (or carpeting) to absorb the noise

The only noise I heard was myself screaming when I got our lunch tab for $90 for two people It was good though, albeit small portions.

It's always been pretty quiet when we've eaten there for lunch. If you want to be sure of its being quiet, ask for a table a couple of rows back from the tank. I find that kids do get excited and run up and around the tank pointing out the fish. But, if you sit a couple of rows back, that shouldn't bother you.

We had a wonderful time! I didn't find it noisy at all. In fact, we're going back for lunch in August.

I don’t recall Coral Reef being all that noisy during any of our visits.

If anything, The Land Pavillion and the Garden Grill are much louder, IMO.

Tough question! I've been there twice for lunch-once was very quiet, peaceful, completely different than the chaos of dinner, so I booked lunch again. Well, the second time we were seated in the back row (versus right next to the aquarium the first time). Very loud, chaotic, so now I don't know what to think. Was it maybe where we were seated? Cuz I loved how restful and nice it had been the first lunch.

We ate dinner there last year and there is a larger ammount of noise than most resturants, brobabally due to the lack of fabric to absorb as previously said, but I dont find it overwhelming or anything, just more background noise than most places.

We had dinner there and I do not remember it being overly noisy. We were seated next to the aquarium and it was actually quite relaxing!
