How long?

How long does it take to get written confirmation about a reservation? We made a reservation for our family and we want to give it to them as a Christmas present. I want to put the letter in a box and wrap it up. I can't remember how long it took to get them in the past because I always had plenty of time to get it.

We usually receive our confirmations in about a week.
