just trying to plan my days, how long would it take to drive from the disney area to the Pantages (is that right?) theater in hollywood? Also, what does one wear to the Lion King show? any info helpful, thanks! Dawn

Hi!
In a perfect world, it only takes 30 min. to make the drive :D . In Southern CA, on a week night, it takes 1-1.5 hours, if you want to be sure to be there on time! Theater going is a pretty casual experience here. You will see everything from jeans to furs  , but somewhere in between is the most appropriate IMHO :) We saw Lion King a few weeks ago! It was wonderful!!!!!

I think this year's b-day present from me to me will be tix to see The Lion King.

LAWeiss11 has it right - plan on 1.5 hours to get to the Pantages, and if you're there a little early then that is better for you. You might even plan on getting there early so you can check out the area.

I also agree on dress-code. This is LA - people will either go ultra casual or dressed to the tee. Somewhere in the middle should be perfect.

I am so excited we get to see the Lion King and we got great seats (in my opinion). Right now we are also in the planning stages of our trip. We already have resv's for GC for 4nts and on one of our nights we will be seeing the Lion King. We are thinking about renting a car from the GC for the night and leaving 1 1/2 to 2 hrs ahead due to bad traffic and dressing a little better then casual attire for the event.

:D
