We have planned a Disney vacation from June 14 - June 21. My son really wants to go to Universal for Harry Potter and I think both kids will enjoy the other attractions, too. We are staying at an offsite condo and I just can't justify paying the same amount of money to stay onsite at Universal for two days as we'll be paying to spend a whole week in the condo. So if we go to Universal we will not get the advantage of getting in early or Express Pass. I was originally only planning on one day at Universal but think we'll now need to do two.

Will we be spending just way too much time standing in line? fyi. My son is too timid for big roller coasters and my daughter is too small so won't be doing any of those. Will we still be able to do everything else?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Two days is a must in the summer. WWoHP will be crazy busy but you should be able to do what you want to do considering you won't be doing the coasters. Try to get there as early as possible to avoid the lines for as long as you can. I would guesstimate the lines will be anywhere from 20-60 minutes for most attractions...the water rides will be 90 + minutes. Most of the attractions at the Studios are indoors so you should be able to deal with the heat but IOA is like AK...very hot and lots of people will be there for HP.

Make sure you try to stay cool and drink plenty of water. It's very humid down here in the summer as I'm sure you're aware.

I agree - get there very early. At IOA, head to Harry Potter first and then Spiderman. If you want to ride Hulk, you should get to that one as early as possible too. The park will likely be pretty jammed in the afternoon but sometimes things settle down in the evening if the park is open that late. The water rides seem to get particularly crowded in the heat of the day.

At the Studios, again get there at opening. Ride the Mummy's Revenge, Men in Black, the Simpsons and see Shrek early if you can. Jaws doesn't necessarily back up as much but the line can be uncomfortable in the heat. Jimmy Neutron can get busy but it seems to be easier to see while Disaster's wait times are always all over the place when we go. You can see the Terminator just about any time since it's so huge. I don't know about Rip Ride Rocket (or whatever it's called ;) ).

I would ride Rockit first, then head over to Mummy.
