How long will POTC be closed for refurb?

POTC at Disneyland shows to still be closed for refurb on Nov 14th and I believe Nov 14th is the first day of the holiday decorations. Granted Nov 14 is a weekday but does anybody know if POTC is expected to be open the following week considering that it will be Thanksgiving? Anybody have a guess based on past year's experience?

I called yesterday to make dining reservations and they told me that both the ride and restaurant will open on Thanksgiving day. I didn't even know either were close but I would guess the ride would open sooner than Thanksgiving day as don't they always give the absolute lastest it would open.

Nope. It's not closed for a holiday overlay so the refurb schedule is totally unrelated to the start of the season.

Where is the official calendar? The calendar on the DL website only shows thru Nov 14, and it says POTC is closed for refurb during "Fall 2011"...which is a vague time frame.

That's the one.

If you look at the 12th-14th it will list the rehabs under a pop up link that says "View Refurbishments". The link is in the top left.

It will only show what in refurb to about 60 days out as a max. Now that it's into the Holiday Season it will probably fill in some more days and soon confirm or deny the 23rd as being the last day planned for its closure.

MP has very reliable sources for refurb schedules....heck you can call and ask the dine line like OurDogCisco did. They said it'll be open Thanksgiving day (Nov. 24)

ETA: According to the above refurb schedule TSMM will be closed for a few days the first week of the holiday season too.
