How long should I plan for family of 7 to leave MK for at 6:00 ADR at Wave? We will be there Sat Oct 8 which is predicted to be a crowd level of 9 . Thanks!

Are you walking there? It's the fastest way. If you're walking, it's about a 10 minute walk, it will just depend on how long it takes you to get everybody out of MK.

5:50 pm arrival should have you walking past security about 5:40 pm. You're looking at about 1/2 mile walk

I didn't even think about walking! We've never left the park to eat before I just assumed we'd take monorail. Now that I see the pictures I remember seeing the walkways before. Perfect! Thanks!

If you have the time, or just need a break from walking, the monorail can be fun - especially if you have kidlets with you. Arriving at the Contemporary on the monorail to eat dinner can't be done anywhere else!

By the same token, for the most part whatever they would be doing in the park rather than the monorail can't be done anywhere else either.

I don't think there's a right way and a wrong way or that one way is better than the other, but walking is almost always faster.

Now, if you're tired, hot/cold, raining, etc those things can definitely sway your one way or the other.

Yep, if you don't need to get there quickly and you think a monorail ride might be fun, you can go for that. You do need to remember that it may take extra time before a monorail arrives.

I'd walk (barring extenuating circumstances.) If I had to wait for the monorail I'd be standing there thinking "We should have just walked, we'd be half way there by now."

We will be walking and probably pretty quickly! 1:40 FP for 7Dwarfs and 2:15 reside at Chef Mickeys. Hoping to get on a little early if they will let us. Planning to take20 minutes from the ride to the Contemporary...I hope!
