How long will Disney Reservations be down?

So close yet so far....

I got all the way to check out and it glitched out again.

It seems so absurd that it feels like I have to beg Disney to take my money! :sad2:
 
Well. no ETA from Disney on when the reservation system will be up. And the phone lines are crazy packed. Is making WDW reservations always this bad?
Anytime there is a big promotion, new rates come out, etc, their website either doesn't work or crashes. When free dining is announced, the system crashes. When reservations begin for the Epcot Food and Wine Festival, the system crashes. When reservations for the candlelight processional dinner packages begin, the system crashes.
 
It was up for me to price things (no more "Booking not available" error) but I'm not booking so I don't know how the site acts past pricing things out.
 
did anyone get up to the review order page and got the "error occurred while processing your request" notice?

Not normally. I think it has to do with whatever they did on the 9th. They screwed something up and haven't fixed the problem yet. Hopefully they'll get this straightened out soon
 
It appears that the moderate resorts now have an up-charge for Sunday nights in addition to Friday and Saturday nights.
 
There still isn't a annual passholder discount for the fall though correct?
The mysterious one you can call and get and has like no availability but for 2 or 3 resorts.
Personally, I'm waiting. I know that availability is hosed up, it won't be that limited once it's open for booking online. At least, I'm 99% sure it won't be. Would be a complete change in what they've been doing. So I guess anything is possible
I just know that anytime folks start trying to book things (rooms, events, you name it) that are not offered online yet it rarely goes well. If we pack our patient pants and book when it's open for official booking I think it will be a very different process. And more details will be known.
 
I would like to call and try and deal with this room booking because the computer s being so glitchy but the reason I do not like to call to book a vacation or room is I never know of course what kind of CM i am going to get. I have had situations where I am a looking at rooms available in a resort category and I call (because I originally booked by phone) and the CM tells me "sorry we only have club rooms available shall I book that?" and then I say I am looking right now at standard rooms or woods and then they look again and magically "oh I am sorry I must have typed something in wrong there it is).

Sometimes I have had to keep insisting before it magically appears. Also the computer is always so slow and I have to answer the same questions over and over before getting to my issue.,,,how many times have I been to Disney?....when was the last year I visited? I find it tedious.

I once got a CM the same one on two different vacations and she did the same thing with me BOTH times. I was not rude or angry with her. BOTH times when I was waiting at the end of the call for the survey there was silence and she was on the phone quiet not transferring me to the survey and then the call was disconnected....no survey. It was very obvious that she did to want me to go to survey and leave bad feedback.

This is why I book on the internet only. Most of the CM's are wonderful and so helpful and it would be nice to book over the phone. I have great stories about excellent CM's too. I just do not like wondering if I am getting honesty or competency and having to be there at my computer double checking.
 
I have a reservation that I booked back in March, but I'm unable to submit payment on it online. Grrrr....

I had this scenario the other day. Somehow only the more expensive rooms had availability over the phone when I could see what I wanted online. Sometimes the waits just to get through to a person on the phone are ridiculous. I wish you could fully modify online, such as adding days.

Well....if you did book online you should have that ability under my disney experience to modify. But it does not always work so seamlessly. Then you have to call and hope you are speaking with a CM that is not concerned with getting you to book a more expensive room. It has happened more times then I care to remember. Also I am almost certain that when I was less disney savvy I fell for that and believed the "only room available is club level" routine.

Sorry to hear you just had that experience...glad you knew better to be sure it was the truth :)
 
We finally booked our resort reservation at Riverside for beginning of December. All these glitches made me nervous, so instead of waiting for discounts to come out we just booked our room only reservation and will modify when discounts come out. I hope the system will let us though!
 
The packages for 2018 went out today so that's probably why it's been crazier than usual. I had a 20 minute wait at 7:30 this morning.

Today, and everyday since the June update. So frustrating. I am hoping that it gets resolved when they load the Fall RO discount.
