I have an 820 PPO ADR at Tusker House 8/23, how long will it take?
Will being first in line for the Safari a real possibility?

**Thanks everyone, I ended up dropping the ADR in favor of keeping my plan since I added a friend to my plan and it sent all my FPs to FUBAR status.

I think that most sit downs/esp character meals are always like 1-1/2 hours give or take. Buffets can be somewhat faster.
I suppose one could rush... in that case I'd do a counter service instead. Typically cs are about 30 minutes.
Hope it works out for you. Enjoy!

1. If you want to see the characters, plan on 60 to 90 minutes. I've never had a character breakfast take less than 75 minutes.

2. Only if you eat fast and don't wait for the characters.

It is a great brft! I would keep trying to move it up, see if you can get a time closer to 8. The Safari is right next door, so figure an hr. to eat and see characters, and you will still be in line fairly early. As PP mentioned, it is a buffet, so you can eat at your own pace. Early in the morning the characters should be around to tables w/o much interruptions, but if one has missed you, you can let your waitress know, and they can usually help you out so you aren't waiting around for them.

The other option is to arrange late brft. You can arrive early for Rope Drop, go back to the Safari first, and do the Pagani Trail next to it. Then you can have brft and then do the Lion King show after. This way you don't have to rush brft, and if you time it around 10:15-10:30, you can get brft items, then try some lunch as they change over. You can then plan FP for early afternoon for Asia and Dinoland.(and of course Pandora if it's open!)

Generally, it takes about 60-75 min. It is a buffet so you have some control over how long it will take. It you are willing to forgo seeing some characters, you can definitely be in line first at the Safari, but I wouldn't worry about that too much. Enjoy your breakfast and go to the Safari when you are done. The line won't be that long at that time in the morning.

Try to move up your reservation to 8:00 if you can. If not arrive a little early, they may or may not be able to seat you a few minutes early, but if they can you are there. Also ask to pay as soon as you sit down. That will speed things up when you are ready to leave.
