How long was your honeymoon?

We are trying to decide how many points to rent for a DVC. We are really unsure of how many days to book. We already know that 2 are shot for the day before and day of the wedding. How many did you book and did it seem to short or long?

We arrived on Sunday (married at home) and left on Saturday, so 6 nights/5 full days. We could have stayed another month. I don't think there will ever be a honeymoon that is too long. Ours was good though, I didn't feel like we just got there and then left, but we weren't there anywhere near long enough to get bored.

We will be there 2 weeks, but we have good time off. Both of our schools are on Christmas break. It is nice to have time off like that, but we really had to schedule our wedding around the time that DF had to give his high schoolers their exams. We couldn't compromise on the date AT ALL! Luckily, I teach kindergarten, so exams weren't a problem.

Our total honeymoon time was 9 days. Disney Thursday - Sunday and then we left for our cruise on Monday. It was very nice, but of course, could have been longer before we had to get back to the real world!

We stayed in Disney for 10 days and then headed off to Puerto Rico for a 7 day cruise. It's weird to say that any amount of vacation was "to long", but I think by the end of the cruise we were both ready to go home. I'm glad we did something other than Disney because even though we were in Disney for so long we really didn't have much time to ourselves and surprisingly didn't do a whole lot. I think we only had one day that we didn't do stuff with our families.

I got there the monday morning before our thursday wedding and dh came tuesday night...we stayed til the following Thursday and surprisingly we were ready to get home (although we had a new (new to us) house waiting and our at home reception) by about Wednesday early afternoon...we loved being on vacation but we'd had nice weather all summer at home and we just wanted to get home and work on our house before going back to work. Keep in mind that points at DVC resorts are more expensive on Friday and Saturday nights than the other nights--if that helps you at all:)

Thanks guys! We just decided to use points for OKW :woohoo: We were thinking about staying 12 nights but we backed off to 11 so that we can have a full day of driving home and a weekend of rest before we head back to work. The more days at Disney the better, but I figured he really needs some time to rest at home before going back to the grind.
