I have been watching the travel sites for several weeks now and prices have just gone up a bit. Can anyone tell me if airfare is better (cheaper) the closer to travel or earlier? We are going DFW to MCO the weekend after Thanksgiving and returning 12/2 or 12/3. Only non-stop. I am finding tickets about 300.00 each! What about southwest? do they have a non stop?

Airfare tends to increase as you get closer to the date of the flight. Actually, what accounts for that is that the lower fares on each flight get reserved by the passengers who reserve early, and then later all that is left are the more expensive fares. $300 roundtrip is pretty reasonable, though if you're flexible you might luck out and get something even less expensive.

Southwest doesn't fly from DFW to MCO. They only serve a few cities from DFW. I don't even see flights from Love Field to MCO. :confused3
