how long to wait for bidder to pay?

you guys were so helpful before that I thought you could help me again. I sold 2 auctions on Ebay. They both ended Friday. One has already been paid for and shipped. The other one.... I havent even heard from the bidder. They have not completed "check out" even though I have sent them an invoice and a reminder invoice. How long do I give them before they are considered a non paying bidder.

My DH gives his Ebay customers 5 days to pay which he states in all of his auctions (he only accepts Paypal payments so 5 days isn't too unreasonable).

Did you specify a payment date on your auction?

I typically send an invoice as soon as the eBay auction ends and state in my listing that payment is due within seven days. Also I look at the buyers feedback; if their feedback is all (mostly) positive, I'm rather comfortable that payment will be made rather soon. Many times buyers do not update the checkout on ebay, and just send you a check/money order without even responding to your emails. I like communication on ebay, but I've been fortunate that even when the checkout has not been completed on ebay (and no response has been made to my emails),
I've received the payment in the mail within a few days.

If I was you, I'd wait at most 10 days and if no payment has been made and you haven't heard from the buyer, I'd send one 'final payment requested' email. If you don't get a response from that email w/in three days, I'd start the non-paying bidder (NPB) process on ebay. Good luck !

Just getting to the end of this process, buyer used buy it now and never replied to multiple emails...15 days later did a 48 hour notice of npb process, and then went ahead and did it took 2 days to get a responce that they would buy it. now they've fionallyt bac ked out because "paypal wont accept the credot card due to paypal saying it wasnt theres".

I guess im relisting it..
