How Long to Spend in Each Land--Epcot?

Hi,

How long should I allocate to spend in each land in Epcot? Unfortunately, we only have 1 day to do all of Epcot.

I am planning on 9am-1pm in Future World. Lunch. Then 2:30pm-6:30pm for the countries. Then dinner.

That leaves 30 minutes in each country and 1 hour in USA. Does that sound feasible? We are skipping the movies....we just want to have a look around.

Thanks!!

Mary

Just don't get too stuck on the time, or you'll drive yourself and your family crazy. I think you'll find that you'll spend less time in some countries and more in others. You definitely won't need an hour in America if you're not doing shows (though I do recommend the show there). I would probably make my goal to finish in future world early (depending on your family's interests). What are you doing after dinner? The WS is open until 9:00, and Illuminations is a must! I'm sorry if I'm not much help--I'm basically just saying it is possible, but go with a "play it by ear" attitude! Have a blast. :flower:

I agree with DavidandDenise to play it by ear. Sometimes we can spend less than 10 or 15 minutes in a country just looking around without the shows(Mexico and Germany are 2 I can think of). Sometimes we spend a little more because we were more interested in it. I would just keep an eye on the time if you are pressed for it. Good luck and have fun!

I agree. Don't try to schedule it that closely or you'll be pulling out your hair and your family is likely to jump ship. The beauty of World Showcase is touring it at your leisure, exploring the pavilions that most appeal to you and doing a browse in the pavilions that are less exciting. I know I would hate to have my time schedule so tightly in an area that really does deserve to be appreciated slowly.

If you know how much time you have to spend in World Showcase, just go and enjoy and don't worry about how long you spend in each area. If you only have 4 hours, why not choose the pavilions that sound the best (before you go) and make sure you see them? Then, anything else is a bonus. But I'd truly stay flexible. Consider it a 'taste', leaving something to look forward to next time!

One day is a great time at Epcot. I think your plan is a great one and similar to what we are planning. Figured we'd do lunch at UK as we enter WS and dinner at Epcot as we are finishing up around 7 - 7:30, just in time to eat, have a marguerita or two :cool1: and watch Illuminations at 9:30. Like other posters said, there are countries we breezed through and others that we were fascinated by the gift shops or entertainment. Have a magical time! Brenda

i wouldn't 1) set a stop watch per country...some may be more interesting than others to you nor 2) skip the movies...that is really their introduction to the country...why skip them? France is beautiful and relaxing esp. if time is short pick the countries you are most interested in and do them

we usually spend 2 mornings in Fw and 2 afternoon/ evenings in ws

I would do as much of Future World as you can fit in up to about 11.30,then head to the world: Mexico, has a short ride & several shops,Norway short ride (miss out the tourism film) more shops - worth considering for lunch-buffet style. China miss the 360 film, mainly shops, catch the acrobats if possible. Germany, mainly shops, good buffet plus entertainment. Italy, shops, street entertainers at certain times.America, show is worth seeing. Japan shops,& drummers worth seeing, small exhibition(which changes) Morroco, mainly shops ,occasional entertainment.France not a lot, good street entertainers though.UK,not a great deal to offer (but as I'm from UK I'm biased!!).Finally Canada, catch Off Kilter if they are on,shops & another 360 film.
You'll probably find that you arrive back at Future World with enough time to fit some more in,then head back to WShowcase having already studied the dining menus.
