Its dioramas, you read and walk and can go at your own pace.

Our kids loved it - but were a little spooked and a little young - we probably got through it in 20 minutes - which was nearly as fast as they could walk (remember the little spooked part). If you wanted to read everything and soak it in, you could spend two hours or more.

oh so it is mostly reading material?
Is there a boat you go on and explore or is it very small
and quick?

There isnt like a "show" or act to watch?

hmmm.. maybe I should skip it then.

It was interesting- Definetly under the 45 min to see thing but still pretty good for a 3rd world country pirate museaum (had it been in oh LA or NY Id expect alot better) The ship isnt that kewl.

My biggest dissapointment was the gift shop. My bedroom has more pirate stuff than the gift shop....

If you like pirates then itd still be worth it- if not then skipping would be otay

my daugheter's favorite movie is Pirates of the Caribbean
she is 12

will SHE be dissapointed??
thanks

I don't think it was worth the $12, it took us about 30 mins to get through, reading everything

We have a boy 9, with Down syndrome that LOVES pirates. Is it mostly just reading murals or is there a lot of visual stuff??? We have been to Nassau twice but never left the ship. This time we plan to do something.

There is a lot of reading, but there are lots of wax pirate figures, I would say it is mostly reading however.

When we went in July we actually had a tour guide. He was all dressed up in pirate gear and doing the pirate talk. He probably made it better than it would have been had we just been reading. That being said I kind of wish that we had skipped it and just stayed on board at the pool. I had a cranky 6 year old so it wasn't much fun for me. At the time neither one of the kids seemed to like it, but every time my DS sees the picture we took there with the tour guide he talks about how funny he was. I think it took us 45 min to an hour but I am not sure.
