How long to see most of it?!

Hi all

I received some good news yesterday (see my ticker!) and hubby has promised me we can take a trip to Disneyland Paris to celebrate getting to 12-weeks pregnant (I miscarried recently so its a big milestone for us).

We prob. will only go for 1-night due to budget constraints.

I wonder if you think we will be able to see pretty much everything during a 2-day, 1-night stay? Obviously, there are some rides we'll have to miss out on, so that will reduce queueing times!

Would be grateful to hear views!

Wow, congratulations.

We have our 11-13 week scan this afternoon so we will know for definate how far along the missus is.

In terms of what you will be able to do, if you were to go off peak (outside of school holidays) then you would be able to do everything in two days.

Rides in the Magic Kingdom park that you 'should' be able to do (personal preference would rule some out) include

* Railroad
* Main Street Motors
* Honey I Shrunk The Audience
* Natuilus
* Its A Small World
* Alice's Labrynth
* Dumbo
* Peter Pan
* Pinnochio
* Snow White
* Carosel
* Pirates of the Carribbean (This one includes drops so may not be suitable, personal preference)
* Swiss Family Tree House
* Riverboats/Keelboats
* Phantom Mannor

In terms of the Studio I'm not actually sure as they have changed massivly since I last went however off the top of my head I would say

* Studio Tram Tours
* Stich Live
* Magic Carpets
* Stunt Show
* Cinemagique
* Animagique

Most of the rides that get big lines are the more extreme ones so you should be fine with two days.

I'd say it can be done in 2 days, especially if you make use of extra magic hours on the 2nd morning.

The studios should take anywhere between a couple of hours (if you're not interested in any of the shows) and something much nearer to a whole day I would guess if you were to take in all the shows, as there's quite a few of them and they all occur at various times throughout the day.

If you start the main park in extra magic hours, then you can do most of fantasyland and buzz (which gets big queues normally), which puts you in a good position for the rest of the day. After those, you should be able to do the rest of the main park at your leisure because a lot of the remaining rides are thrill rides.

Many congratulations. Given that you will be in your second trimester, you should physically feel much better. Be aware that you will not see it all in 2 days, but you will see enough to feel you have had a great experience and will want to start planning for future trips.

I've never been on it so I really don't know. Do you think it's suitable for a young child (16 months) too?

Our kids have been riding Buzz since age 13 months. And it is fine for pregos.

Perfectly suitable for pregnant women. The cars are an awful lot like those on phantom manor, except you can control the turning of the vehicle to point at the targets (the vehicles don't turn very fast if you do turn them, plus you don't have to).

16 months - should be perfectly fine I'd say. There's lots of pretty colours and weirdness to stare at. The only thing I can think of is it may possibly be a little loud in there with all the shooting noises, but I don't think it will be a problem personally.

personally, i would think buzz wud be ok, as long as whoever had the joystick didnt swing it too much. i wud just be careful of any ride that 'jerks' u too much, espec as ull be worried after all uve been thru. its a matter of opinion i guess!
i too think that 2 days shud give u a pretty good idea of the parks, get to see parade, and use emh, and then ull be hooked like the rest of us and be booking another holiday when u get back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DLRPMagic and the official site don't list any health warnings for Buzz, so it should be fine

It can deffo be done in 2 days, just make a list of the things you really want to see and work around that. Thats what i did and i did everything i wanted to do

Can't offer any advice, my youngest is now 16 (years, not months ), just wanted to say congratulations!

We've agreed 1 night will be plenty unless we find anywhere cheap enough to stay for 2 nights!
Hopefully hubby can sneak in one or two of the thrill rides without me!
