How long to plan for water park?

I am taking my younger cousins (23 and 15) to Disney the week before Memorial Day. The tickets I got from my travel agent for them came with one water park day, so we are going to a water park for the first time. We usually don't do water parks because we have a decent water park in our home town (not Disney caliber, but it does have slides, a lazy river, and a wave pool).

My question is how long to plan for the water park? We are planning to go on Friday, May 27th. I have my cousins looking at the slides and stuff to decide which park they would rather go to. I was planning to get there when the park opens. Since we don't have park hoppers, I added an extra day so I could make night time fast passes for that evening. Thought it would give them a chance for an extra ride or two. I have to make fast passes in a couple of days and was wondering what times I should make these fast passes for? I am thinking of doing either Epcot or HS (big tower of terror fans). Thanks so much!

The water park hours for our day are 10-5. MK and HS (EMH) are both open til midnight. I may try for one of those 2 parks and maybe catch fireworks. It's just an "extra" day, so if we are worn out and don't want to do it, it's not a big deal!

I would recommend getting there when they open and riding the headliners first thing as many times as possible, then relaxing in wave pool/lazy river or smaller slides the rest of the day. We are usually ready to head out by 3-4pm. Then take a shower back at the room and do a late MK night. We did Blizzard Beach on Sunday before Memorial Day last year and it was great. Planning to do the same this year.

Thanks guys! It sounds like we might be ready to head about by 3 or so which will work well. I was really wanting to get a second set of Epcot fast passes in just in case Frozen/Soarin' happen to be open. I am hoping to be at Epcot by 6, eat cs dinner around the world show case and hope to get in a Tier 1 FP. (This will not be our only Epcot day, only a chance to hopefully catch a ride). If these rides aren't going to be open it will either be HS or MK!
