How long to have Character Meal?

We are planning on having the Character Meal at Chef Mickey's for breakfast on the day that we leave. Our plane departs at 2:05. So, I want to know how long the character breakfast normally last. I don't want to rush off, but don't want to wake up super early either

I would give yourself a good hour to an hr and a half. Bc they have characters the whole meal, but mickey and goofy only come out at certain times. Have fun!

Thanks... that is what I figured and was thinking of allowing 1 1/2 to 2 hours (for extra travel time and buffer)!
Do you know what is the latest they make the breakfast reservations?

I think 11:00, we had a 10:50...and we definately were there for more than an hour. W used it as a brunch! It was our favorite character meal of the 5we did, you will love it!!!

Wow! 5 CHaracter Meals. I would love that, and I am sure my son would, but DH would freak with that much "happiness"

I am glad to hear that that was your favorite. I have a terrible time making decisions, so it is nice to hear that! It will help me keep it on the schedule and not change it again!

A Disney dining reservation agent once told me that they generally plan on a group spending 90 minutes at a character meal.

Are you taking ME to the airport? If so, your bus will depart at about 11am. Allow yourself an hour before that to get your luggage, check out of your room, and line up for the bus. That means you need to be back at the hotel by about 10am. If you are doing Disney transportation, you need to allow enough time to get back to the hotel. 90 minutes to eat. Time to travel to the breakfast. Where are you staying? Yeah, you might have to get up pretty early.

If you have a rental car or are willing to take a taxi to and from breakfast, it will all be much, much easier!

We are renting a car for the week. My husband is completely impatient and I don't think he would do well with DT, so I decided for everyone's sanity to spring for the car! But that definiately confirms my decision!
