how long to get your food at restaurants

I'm working on getting down to the nitty-gritty of planning out our itineraries for our trip - only 3 weeks!!:banana::banana:

One thing that is tripping me up though is estimating how long we'll need to eat. Typically how fast are the restaurants, both counter service and table service? I can estimate how long it would take us to eat, but how long does it usually take to get your food in both CS and TS places?

For example, if we have lunch reservations at the Blue Bayou at 11:30, roughly what time can we expect to be getting out of there if we take say, 20 minutes to eat.

We went to the Blue Bayou last Thursday and we were in and out pretty quickly. Minutes after we sat down we had our drink order taken and delivered. After that it took about 5 minutes to get our order taken, and our soup arrived less than 5 minutes later. Main course was served as soon as we were done with our soup.
It seemed as though they were very aware of time when we were there. We never once felt rushed, but you could tell that the next guests would be seated minutes after we walk out.
I feel like we were given the time that we needed, and never had to wait long for any service.

If you take 20 minutes to eat, you will probably be in there no longer than 30-35 minutes if you're in a hurry.

Relax! Dont over plan your trip. Allow an hour for a meal, and if you get done sooner you have some bonus time.

I'd give an hour, unless its a character meal, then I'd give 90 minutes.
