I've never hightailed it from MK to Epcot, but would it be quicker for them to bus to Beach Club and then go in through the International Gateway?

I agree. It's not a silly question. I had a client tell me when she went on her first visit she got really mad because she didn't know you had to have a park ticket to "just eat" at a restaurant inside the park. This is the 1st time you've been, so I'm wondering do you have park hoppers passes to allow you to go from one park to the next?
Im sorry if this question seems silly, but since you said you've never been before I was just wondering ?

Robo pointed out above it wouldn't because Germany is so far back from both the front of the park and from the IG.

Or that Epcot is just alarmingly huge. Looking at a map or aerial of Epcot doesn't really give a good idea of the size of the park. When it's crowded, it can be a solid 30-minute shuffle/walk between the entrance at the front of Future World to the back of World Showcase where the Germany pavilion is. And that's nonstop walking. In a thread from a few years ago, someone measured the walking distance from the main gate to the American pavilion (two pavilions away from Germany) at .8 miles. That's a lot of walking when you're trying to rush to an ADR.
I agree. Plus, it can take a while to load an ECV even if they don't wait. The monorail is easy on and easy off and I believe the front gate is closer to Germany than the Beach Club bus stop. With the ECV it's a gamble. If there are two in front of them at the bus station, they need to wait for the next bus. The monorail, if it is not down, has more capacity for an ECV.
