How long to get from 7DMT to Biergarten?

No. Especially with an ECV.

There is a new park to park transportation plan called Express. You might be able to use it. I believe it is $7 a day and leaves from INSIDE the parks.

Ambitious plan even for seasoned WDW visitors. I'd never try it. But give yourself a buffer, change your ADR. Good luck

Without the ECV I would have recommend this. In part because it's usually faster to enter through the International Gateway than the front entrance and there would be no need to transfer on the monorail. But the extra time to travel with an ECV would probably eat up any difference.

Now admittedly, we LOVE Biergarten, but it's usually fairly easy to get an ADR here so I can't see myself rushing to change parks to get there for dinner. I'd consider moving it later or even to an Epcot night if you are only hopping to eat.

As others have said, you can do it if the stars align. However, it will be stressful and make your mine train FP less enjoyable. You will be stressed from sprinting across property and hoping you make it. I would try to adjust the FP time or the dinner reservation time if possible.

I agree. It's not a silly question. I had a client tell me when she went on her first visit she got really mad because she didn't know you had to have a park ticket to "just eat" at a restaurant inside the park.

Since you've never been, you probably have no idea of the size of WDW. First, you understand you are eating in Epcot which is a totally separate theme park. The roads between parks are highways, they are miles apart. As has been mentioned, Germany is one of the furthest countries from either entrance. There is absolutely no way I would try to do what you suggest.

Nobody has mentioned the fact that either of the monorails could be down. I don't think it's doable.

Or that Epcot is just alarmingly huge. Looking at a map or aerial of Epcot doesn't really give a good idea of the size of the park. When it's crowded, it can be a solid 30-minute shuffle/walk between the entrance at the front of Future World to the back of World Showcase where the Germany pavilion is. And that's nonstop walking. In a thread from a few years ago, someone measured the walking distance from the main gate to the American pavilion (two pavilions away from Germany) at .8 miles. That's a lot of walking when you're trying to rush to an ADR.

I would bus to beachclub or boardwalk instead of taking the monorail. That's just looking at the walk to get to germany, it's not factoring in monorail is waiting for 2 modes of transportation and the extra time that will take, if your lucky to to get on the monorail at each point the first one that pulls in. I always never gone on the epcot monorail where we didn't sit somewhere onthe tracks for 5-10 minutes. those buses are in the first set of buses, never a huge wait. I'm not sure which way the buses would come into the resorts over there to say which would be better but it's a loop and 1 direction is right to boardwalk and the other direction you pass swan, dolphin and yaught before you even pull in to get off the bus.

Now with that said.. I would still not be joining everyone to run over to eat there. It's not worth leaving MK for, it's not worth the time to get to it and then get somewhere else after.

As OP said, they really have no clue how big WDW is and this is a rookie mistake and when the day is over or the trip is done they will never try to do it again and regret it.

I doubt you'll make it. I'm pretty sure you'd get to Epcot by 5:20 but I doubt you'd have the time to get over to the restaurant by that time. More than likely, you're looking at an arrival of 5:30 to 5:40.

You didn't tell us when you're going but if it's soon, it would be hard to switch ADR times at Biergarten. If it's in the distant future, I'd push the ADR time back to 6pm. You'll make your afternoon/early evening much less stressful.

OP- I would cancel the ADR completely. If you are spending the evening in Epcot that is fine, but I would not beat feet from one park to another to make a dinner ADR under any circumstances.

Enjoy the MK. Have fun on the MIne Train. Leave when you are ready and either try to walk up to Biergarten if you are still inclined, or just enjoy CS. The dining options in Epcot are plentiful, so there is no need to be stressed.

I can't agree with this enough. I was overwhelmed at how enormous Epcot is once I finally got there for the first time. There is no way it's a 15 minute walk from front gates to Germany as someone suggested above, as you can't keep a decent, and very generous at that, pace like that in a crowded park.

I agree. Plus, it can take a while to load an ECV even if they don't wait. The monorail is easy on and easy off and I believe the front gate is closer to Germany than the Beach Club bus stop.

I would still do it. I don't think it's a big deal if they are 15 minutes late.

Instead of the monorail (bad idea) you should take the bus to Beach Club.

This saves time:
1) you don't have to go from MK to the TTC, you just get on the bus right out front of MK
2) you won't have a long line at the front of EPCOT because you'll enter at the International Gateway
3) you won't have to walk from the front of EPCOT because you'll enter at the back at the IG

The Beach Club bus stop to Epcot is probably a 10 minute walk.

So we have:
15 min: walk from SDMT to Beach Club bus stop in front of MK
15 min: wait for bus
20 min: ride to Beach Club
10 min: walk from Beach Club bus stop to International Gateway
10 min: walk from IG entrance to Germany

That's about an hour and 10 minutes.

That being said I agree with everyone else. Just because you "can" doesn't mean you "should". Park hopping is a real struggle, it's not as easy as it seems. It does take at least one hour and sometimes 2 hours.

This too! It took my husband and I a solid 20 minutes to get from Future World to Biergarten for our ADR. And we were practically running.
