How long to get from 7DMT to Biergarten?

If I have a 3:45 FP for 7DMT and a 5:20 res at Biergarten, will we make it? Group of 4 with an ECV. I've never been to Disney before, so I have no clue!

It's possible. You would need to leave as soon as you get off the ride. You could take the monorail to Ticket & Transportation, then switch to the Epcot monorail. However, you will get off the monorail at the front of Epcot and have to make your way to the World Showcase. You might make it without problem, but I think I would try to move my Biergarten reservation to a later time to be on the safe side. It would be easier to move a Biergarten reservation than a 7DMT FP!

If the stars align, yes, you'll make it. In reality, you're probably going to be late for that ADR. The 3:45 FP just means you're in the FP line. It can still take 5-10 min to get through the line and onto the ride. Then you have to walk back through MK and out to either a bus or the monorail. As PP said, the monorail would probably be quicker with the ECV, but that does put you at the front of EP, so another long walk through the park. If you take a bus to one of the EP resorts, you have to wait for a bus that has room for the ECV, but you're at the back of EP with the back entrance that puts you closer to Biergarten. It's still a 10-15 min walk, though, even from one of the EP resorts.

Change the Biergarten ADR to 6:00 or so. It just gives you a good cushion to reduce stress.

Or, if the Express Busing for parkhopping is still an option ($15 per day or $24 for 7 consecutive days) you can bus from MK (Tomorrowland) to Epcot without having to go through security and the main entrance when you reach Epcot. The bus still drops off at the front of Epcot but runs on a set schedule from MK.

I think conservatively that could be a 90 minute trip, on top of the 15 or so minutes you'll spend at 7DMT. Crowded monorail or bag check waits could make that worse. And at Epcot, you'll be walking completely across the park--which is enormous--from front to back, including almost halfway around World Showcase. If Biergarten is the only reason you're hopping to Epcot (and I'm not assuming that it is, but if it is), that's a large chunk of time to take out of your evening, you might try to snag an ADR or keep your eyes open for a cancellation at an MK restaurant, instead.

With the express bus probably, without it, and dealing with an ECV . . . possible, but not very likely.

I suggest not hopping to eat like this unless you happen to be hopping with plans to stay at epcot. If your literally just bouncing to eat and going elsewhere, your looking at 4-5 hours for this meal and your essentially just riding transportation between meals and not really taking the time needed to experience the parks.

If someone told me we were going to try to rush from MK to eat at Biergarten, I wouldn't be joining you. it's just not worth the time and that's without knowing what we're doing after we eat.

another thing that could help you try to make this is once you use the fastpass you have before 7dmt, try to modify your 7dmt fp and see if you can luck out with an earlier time to ride it. I find it easier to move around a fp than to get it in the first place many times. it may not work for this specific ride but you never know. you can modify a pass without removing it and opt to not change it so your passes are safe to look.

WDW recommends budgeting 2 hours for travel between parks, so you are cutting it close. Busses may be a little faster, but I Think the monorail has a better setup for ecv.

You may want to look into the express bus. I'd be worried that everyone in an ecv would want to use it, and the bus can only take two at a time.

While I think in most cases you would actually make it, you'd really have to rush, and who wants to do that? There would be tons of walking involved too since 7DMT is toward the back of MK and Biergarten is toward the back or World Showcase. I'd try to move that ADR to a bit later so you can have a stress-free time of it.

Can't you push the Biergarten ADR back a bit? I'm not sure when your trip is but those ADRs usually aren't too hard to come by.

Germany is nearly THE most difficult (time consuming) to reach spot in all of Epcot.

It is a long way from both the front gates and the International Gateway.
So, even if you were to head to Beach Club by bus,
then make your way over to and through the International Gateway,
you'd need a LOT of time to get all the way to Germany.

Arrive at the Mine train 5 minutes prior to your fast pass time. Upon the exit, heads towards the castle and take the right hand path near Castle Couture around the castle (assuming there is a castle show going on). Board the monorail to the TTC and change to the EPCOT line. Exit the monorail station at EPCOT and go through security. Proceed to World Showcase and Germany. I would not wait on the boat from world showcase to the Germany area. If the boat is just arriving, and you know for a fact your party will arrive, I would consider it. It is always faster to walk than to wait and take the boat. We learned this this month as some of our party wanted to wait for the boat. We arrived at the dock about 10 minutes faster than they did. You are also given a small grace period on your dining reservation. So I see no issue with your plan, that is until the monorail breaks down.

If you were to try this, I would also suggest getting in line for the 7DMT 5 minutes early (FPs can be used 5 mins early and up to 15 mins late). I'd then get out ASAP.

I think I would take the monorail with the ECV. I find waiting for the monorail to be less nerve wracking than the bus and you will have fewer problems rolling on and rolling off.

Good luck!

ETA: If you're 15 minutes late for your ADR it's not the end of the world. Especially at the Biergarten which has communal tables. They'll fit you in when you arrive.

Also don't forget that you can enter the fastpass line 5 minutes before the start of your actual timeframe.

There is another way....the mickey way
When the monorail goes through Epcot, flex your muscles and open the monorail door. Then, parachute down and catch the lucky wind that will blow you across the water straight into Germany.
Hey!!!! If Mickey can do it, you can too. :clown:

ok..... if you want a serious answer:
3:45 FP, assume you are done by 4 and start heading out.
Catch Monorail to TH by 4:20.
Catch Monorail to Epcot by 4:45 (assuming a little wait)
Assuming a mid to large crowd, thru the Epcot gates by 5:20
Assuming a good gait, at Germany by 5:35

As you can see, with some buffer time, you may make it to the ADR, but it is cutting it so close, the stress would be too great. I have seen a vacation almost ruined by someone in our party trying to get everyone to hurry up and ending up causing un-necessary stress. So, even if you could do it, cutting it so close may cause issues. I personally would move the ADR by 30 mins.
