How long to decide to make Basic MYW ticket a Hopper?

We just have basic MYW tickets. I'm trying to convince DH to upgrade to hoppers. When do we have to decide until? Can we even do it at check-in, then pay the difference? Thanks!

Actually, now that you've got base tickets, you can't do ANYTHING with them until you get to Disney World.

Once you're there, you have until the tickets expire (14 days after first use) to add the hopping option. (Or any other option for that matter! )

So if you use two days, and decide you want to hop, just stop at any Guest Relations or ticket window at any of the parks or Downtown Disney, and ask to add the hopping option.
