How long to close through Disney?

OK so after all of your help we're doing it!!!! Called Sat. got the papers today!!! Wow that was fast (big fedex box with tote bag!). So now once we sign it all and get it notorized how long did it take for you all to close once you've sent it back? And again thanks to all of you and your great comments and advice our family is very happy with the 200 pts and AKV home.

Depends on what you mean by "closed".

We bought in on 3/3, over the phone. They did the credit check and were approved right then and there. We were able to start booking trips that day and that is the day that we are listed as owners (annual dues are prorated starting on that day).

After we received the paperwork and sent it back, it took about 2 weeks to process and have the dvc member site updated with our info.

Just received a call Sunday (4/27) from DVC that it was officially closed.

As for the sig you need to upload one to a picture site like photobucket. They copy the HTTP address into the sign

Hey thanks kenny We'll send em in on Thursday so probaly sometime in June then....we made our reservation at SSR for the end of July (10 days)
WoooooHoooo. We bought in AKV kindani so dues start May 09 and the paperwork stated " for stays may 09" so I guess that should be the opening. I'm so glad we DID do this. Thanks for the welcome home... it seems a little wierd but in 86 days it'll be real

Is it possible to rent points for avacation June 11-18 this late in the game? Never been to Disney World before and had no idea about renting points for a nice villa.
Would someone mind advising us?

One of those papers you received has a closing date on it. I can't remember which one, but I noticed it on the ones we just returned for an add-on.

Also once you have closed you will be able to find listing for the deed and mortgage (if you have one) on this website.
