How long is Splash Mtn. Going to be down?

Made my FP+ selections last week for our May trip and just read that it is down for refurb.

I'm quite confused about this as the dis are reporting splash to be closed until June. Other sites have stated that it was set to reopen yesterday. I have just checked the my disney experience app and this is the part that has confused me the most, the current wait time for splash is listed as 50 mins but underneath it also stated that it is closed :S. Very confusing. Was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this. We are going next month, splash is one of my favourites and would love for it to be open.

They let a few guests in for soft opening in tiny groups yesterday and said it will be open today. (I was there.)

I was there two days ago and the attendant told me it was supposed to open today ( Saturday)

I'm not entirely sure but I think it was just a general refurb that they do most years. As it's a water ride with many drops I think it requires more upkeep.

We rode it this morning before we left to go home. DD12 was ecstatic since this is one of her favorite rides.

My daughters were disappointed it was closed last week. Fortunately, we are going back in December.

It was open on Saturday. Broke down and lights turned on often the first time I rode (daytime). My night ride was a bit better. Lights came on while I was in line, but we made it most of the way through the ride without issue. The ride looked great...fur and clothing good as new, as was paint. I saw them painting and resurfacing outside last week.
