How long is latest incentive good thru?

We are going to buy into SSR hoping to do so within next couple of weeks, Howvere we need in the end 263 points , I want to buy the initail 150pts then use that neal deal where you buy so many points and get 100pt for the one time use deal. Can someone give me more details on it????

I would talk to your guide to get the exact information for you - because the deal varies somewhat depending on what use year you are getting.

I believe the initial deal is $95 - $8 ($87) if you only get 2005 points; $95 - $5 ($90) if you get both 2004 and 2005 points. That's for the initial 150 point purchase.

You can add on as few as 25 points (50 minimum to finance). The add-on incentive is 100 one-time points for an add-on of 120 points or more. I think there is an additional add-on incentive if you add more than 160 points, but I'm not sure on that.

I believe whether you can get 2004 points and the bankability of points varies depending on which use year(s) are available to you, so you need to check with the guide to see exactly how all that plays out for you.

For what it's worth, I remember reading a post here recently that implied DVC was trying to crack down on new members doing the initial purchase + immediate add-on routine just to get the extra points. I can't put my hands on the post, but it does seem like a realistic approach to take. Although the info could easily be bogus, too.

As suggested, contact your Guide to discuss these types of details.

I am doing this exact thing. We had originally told our guide that we wanted 200 points & sent in the deposit for that taking the $8/pp incentive. About the day that arrived we had decided that we were really going to want more points, so I called my guide.

Our original points will be a 150 point SSR contract with a Sept. use year. We were told that no 2004 points were still available to get the incentive. So we will start with 2005 points.

Our guide told us that we have to be members to do an add-on, but that official status would occur sometime before closing. We are financing, so as soon as the credit process is complete is when we can start the add-on. We will be doing 120 SSR points. With those points we get the $8/pp discount + 100 bonus points that can be used this year or banked.

Our guide doesn't know yet when the incentive will be ending. He was aware of the point increase happening in June, but they had not yet been informed in any change to the incentive program. He did warn me that it could end at any time, but seemed to feel that we could get this done before any changes are made.

Good Luck! I wonder if there are many of us in this 270 point club? Of course, I am already thinking that another 30 points would make a nice round 300!

I think that is a very smart way to do it. We started out with 230 and added 150 the following year. We find 380 to be just about right for us. I think you will like having two contracts too, because if you decide to downsize your points in the future, it will be easier to sell a smaller contract.

More per point. The point costs for a stay can't change in total. They can rearrange them within the calandar, but they can't be increased in total.

man I am still on the fence about this add-on and I need to get my butt on the move if I am going to get this.( and we are going to need it with our add-on to our little family).
