How long is it taking for confirmation for DPs?

I have been waiting FOREVER for a confirmation. I was told it would be in an e-mail so I waited for about 4 weeks and called and she said oh it will be mailed and it was mailed yesterday. So waited a little over a week AGAIN and called back. Was told they are really behind and to be on the look out. Well that was 2 weeks ago. Its not for me its for a renter. Their trip is in May and here we are in March and no confirmation yet. Its been about 2 months. Has that been the norm or should I call for a third time?

We booked our DP trip to SSR in December... let me see, 12/29/08 and our trip is in April. We got our Confirmation letter via snail mail March 10th. Now, we had our confirmation #'s because when we called about another booking they gave us that when we said we didn't have the email or letter yet. We also called 2 weeks ago to make a request for a certain area and again said we had no letter. Then they came. But they told us we didn't need a letter, just the confirmation # and give our name and show id.

I am made a reservation on Wednesday of last week and the confirmation arrived on Sunday via email. The reservation was for 4/1. MS told me that they are busy booking DP reservations so they are booking by check in date and that's why my 4/1 reservation took no time to confirm. I have a second reservation for June that was made over a 10 days ago, I have not received a confirmation on that reservation.

Anyway, I would call MS again and push for confirmation. You've been waiting a long time.

Just my two cents but I think they should be better about confirming these DP reservations. Having to wait weeks and weeks is not a good introduction into the club, it's a little annoying and doesn't demonstrate the level of service I would expect after laying down a large amount of cash.

I have the actual confirmation number but I have no written confirmation. LIke I said its for a renter, I've given them the confirmation number but until they get that letter they really won't know. I just don't get what is taking so darn long. I made a ressie with my actual points for Dec at 11 months on the dot and I have had that letter for weeks now.

I'll wait until friday and then call again and see what I am told then.

I made a reservation over 4 weeks ago with my DP and still haven't seen anything. I called MS today with another issue and was told the entire system was down to call back in 30 minutes so I still don't even have a confirmation number. Hopefully I can get one in 30 minutes!!

I am in the exact same situation...Made 2 reservations in January, 1 for May and 1 for June using DP points. I have had the confirmation numbers for over a week but still no letter. The renters want to see the letter justifiably for obvious reasons. I have provided them with the confirmation #'s.

I am going to wait until Friday or Saturday to see if they can tell m e when the letters have been or will be mailed. It is frustrating

I made my reservation beginning of Feb and just received my confirmation letter a couple of days ago. I was given the confirmation number through email March 3rd and the letter just came. If you take your confirmation number and entered it into the disney reservation website, your reservation will show up with all the reservation details.
