We'll be renting a car for the week at DW. How long is the drive the Orlando airport to DW?

Our flight arrives around 1:15pm and I'm trying to estimate what time we'd be at our hotel (onsite)...and then at the park. We did end up buying park tickets for the arrival date so wonder how many hours we'll get out of it.

actual driving time about 20-35 minutes, depending on traffic and where exactly you're going to in Disney World.

If you take the south exit, you can take the Greenway 417 Tollroad which I find much faster (less traffic) than the Beeline/I-4 route. 20-25 minutes.

Don't forget to add the time to deplane, get to baggage claim, claim your bags, and get your rental car. All that is at least 30 minutes. So I'd plan on being at your resort ~2:30p (I added 15 extra minutes "just in case").

15 minutes to check in + travel time to the park (you don't say which park or how you're getting there), I'd say you'd be walking into the gates around 3:15-3:30.

Great thanks. Not a bad commute then.
We'll be staying at Art of Animation and then heading to Magic Kingdom on the first day (either by car or Disney bus...not sure yet).

Yeah...I realize that we have to account for time of getting off plane, picking up baggage, car rental, plus any plane delays.

It sucks as the flight times to Orlando are either 6:30am or 10:30am...somewhere in the middle would have been perfect.

Once you pick up your car and are actually leaving the airport, plan on around 30 mins to get to AoA.

And the timeframes are all assuming you have a good navigator and you don't have to circle the full airport. ;)

Just know where you're going, don't speed, follow the signs, and remember that nearly everyone else around you is just as new to the area as you are.

(that goes for driving on WDW property as well!)
