How long have you owned the same vehicle?

We have had our Mercury Villager now for almost 12 years!! Our 17 year old DS drives it, because we now have the Impala for the family car! :cool1:

I've owned my Mercury Tracer since March 1998, when I bought it new.

My Toyota Camry is 12 years 2 months old. 116,000 miles and still going strong.

Our Toyota 4-Runner was purchased new in 1987, it belongs to our son now, so that's 19 years with the same vehicle. Our other two vehicles - the van purchased in 99 (7 years) and the Capri purchased in 2001 (going on 5 now).

I own a 1998 Ford Explorer which I bought new...that makes 8 years for my current car.

The car prior to this one was a 1985 Toyota Corolla SR5 which I bought new, so I owned that one for 13 years!!!!

I tend to keep cars till they "die". I don't like car payments, so when I get a new car, I drive it into the ground basically.

Only 3 years and 2 years. We've had DH's car for 3 and he'll keep it for a long time. When both cars are paid off, I'll get a bigger one and then keep that one for a long time too.

We bought both of our cars new.

Saturn SL1 - 11 years old w/ 140K miles on it
Saturn Vue - almost 4 years old with around 75K miles on it

We bought our 97 Nissan Sentra in August 97, so going on 9 years; the only car we own.

95 Taurus with only 55,000 miles on it.
plan on having DD drive it 2 years

2002 Dodge Caravan

we've always kept our cars until they drive to he ground.

That would be our Dodge Caravan, we have had it for 7-1/2 years and have over 106,000 miles on it.

Volvo S60 16 months
BMW 325I 3 years
Cadilac El Dorado collectors edition 1month (bought it from my grandmother)

This is the first time we have ever owned all of our vehicles, in the past we have just leased! DH is going to restore the caddy and it will be his weekend car.

I have had my Honda Accord for just about 12 years - I bought it new in September 1994. Love that car - it has 203,500 miles on it right now. I drove it to Florida and back to NJ about 15 times over the years. But it has engine problems, so I am not sure how much longer I will hold onto it. Like others here, I drive my cars until they literally fall apart!

2007 Saturn SKY, six weeks
2006 Toyota Prius, one year and two weeks
2001 Saturn L-200, five and a half years

At this point barring unforseen circumstances, I doubt we'll change anything for at least another three years.

I don't keep any vehicle past 4 years...once they start needing work they must go!

I've had my Explorer for 2 1/2 years, prior to that, I had my Aerostar van for 10 years.

DH's Buick is coming up on 7 years old (bought it new), and he had owned his previous car for 11 years.
