How long have you had AP’s?

I’m very curious to how long you have had annual passes to Disney. We’ve had them for 3 years and it’s hard to imagine not having them. I know things may change in the future like our financial situation, but it’s hard to imagine my love for Disney wavering.

I'm older. I live in Georgia. I've had AP's since my oldest was 12 years old. I take 5 or 6 trips solo for a break and these days my husband joins me on weekends sometimes.

I keep thinking about branching out - sometimes I do have a beach day or universal day within those trips. But mostly I go to Disney.

We had APs in 2019 and didn’t have interest in renewing. Then COVID hit, parks closed then reopened but they weren’t selling tickets. We were worried we wouldn’t be able to get tickets + park reservations for our Christmas trip so we bought APs via TicketAtWork which worked, luckily. Plus we figured it would be fun to have APs for 2021 after an awful 2020. So naive to think things in 2021 would be normal!

Honestly it’s fun, but I don’t like the pressure of feeling like we have to visit WDW over and over when we have them. We travel too much and enjoy too many other things. And with DME going away it makes the choice to not renew even easier.

We have had them for more than 15 years, but did not renew and will just buy tickets this fall. Maybe we will buy APs again if everything comes back some day, but for now, probably just one trip in the next 12 months.

Over 20 years. I’m a DVC Member and typically go 2 or 3 times a year. I time my trips so I have one right before it expires. Then buy a new one on the next trip. Luckily I bought a new one last June right before they suspended sales.

We have had the current ones for two years.
We went two years, when we moved, without any.
Before that I think 4 years.
So around 6 years with passes. I love having them!

My current AP will expire in April of 2022. I wonder if I will be able to renew it then.
