I’ve been around since May 1999 when I started on bed rest for my DD25. My join date is the same as yours. It was reset a couple of times due to board crashes.

First joined in 2002 under another name that was banned in 2004. Took a year off, joined in 2005 under another name and was banned again. Took another year off and joined as The Mayor in 2006. It's crazy that things I was banned for under the previous regime are no longer even minor infractions!!!

2012 is when I finally created an account, but I lurked for 3 years.

I was mainly a Tour Guide Mike person in 2009-2011, I came on here before trips to make sure I did all of my research before trips, but only as a lurker. When TGM fell ill, this was my new WDW planning home. From there I think it was easily 2 years before I was brave enough to post on Community Board.

Not everyone knows how you came up with your current user name. I remember you providing the reason a while ago. Some of the long time members will appreciate it if they remember Jason “low key”.

I'm pretty sure it was in 1998 that I joined, although I think it says 1999. But we got a little kitten we'd named Simba, and as I was thinking of a user name, Simba jumped into my lap and Simba's Mom was born. He passed away in 2014, but the user name remains as a tribute to him. Since then, we've had other Disney-named cats, our current on is "Elsa". That movie didn't exist 26 years ago!

Wow Dan, that's a fascinating post, it's taken me quite some time to read through. I do remember having to register and finding it hard to come up with my very boring username lol.

Quick triggers and blatant narcissism!!

First time was when a couple of us supported a really nice woman on here that was mainly on the Transportation Board. She knew all the ins and outs of Southwest and National Rental Car and provided tons of helpful information. Well she had a disagreement with Pete and he banned her. I put "A friend of (her intials)" in my signature and was banned.

Second time I replied "OOOHHHH PULEASSSSEEEE" to a post of a friend of one of the Webmasters, at the time (since gone), and was banned.

Took the name The Mayor because back in the day there was a great late night weekend crew on the CB and Jason was part of that crew. One night there was a lot of posting and joking going on and he dubbed me The Mayor of the CB. So when I came back the third time I came back as The Mayor.

That's my story and I kept coming back because of the people here and the great info you can gather for trips to any Disney property.
