Hopefully some of you are willing to share your experience with me. How much time should I calculate it'll take from the moment I've left the plane, untill I'm in my room when using ME? I'm trying to plan a time for my groceries to be dropped off. I don't mind to wait for half an hour, but I would love to not be tied up to an appointment afterwards. If I still have the energy, I'll want to hit DTD or a park asap, and if the trip has got me to tired, the bed will be too temping to stay up just for some groceries.

(off course, this is all if the plane doesn't have any delays. If that should happen, I can use bellservices, but if possible I would like to be there myself for the delivery)

tia!

The average time that I have seen posted on these boards is anywhere between 70 and 90 minutes.

Most of us are reporting average times of about 70 mins from deplaning to resort checkin. However, there is no way to predict what time you will be able to get into your room. You may arrive at checkin at 10:30 am and be lucky enough to get into your room right away. Or, you could arrive at 1:30 pm and have to wait until official checkin time to get into your room. So...if you don't want to hang around, waiting for your grocery delivery, just let them deliver it mid-afternoon, and bell services will store it for you, until you get back.
Our flight arrives at about 1:00, I'm planning on arriving at BWV about 2ish, and have to wait for our villa to be ready, so won't be in the room until 4ish. My delivery window is from 2-4 pm. Bell Services will refridgerate anything that needs it, and we'll stop by and pick it up when we get into the room. We'll most likely just be at the pool in any case.

This varies quite a bit. If you are on the back of a long airplane, the deplaning can take as long as 20 minutes, with a 10 minute walk/tram through the airport. When you get to the ME check in counter that can be another 20 minute wait. After you board your ME bus, I've had up to a half hour wait waiting for more guests. You could be the last resort to stop at, which could take up to an hour. Then, you could be the last off the bus at your resort and wait at the check in desk with only one CM on duty checking guests in (another 30 minutes). Of course this may not happen, and you'll be first in line in each case. It really is best though, to make the longest estimate and then relax and enjoy the journey.
Good luck!

Thnx for the experiences so far!

Skroops; that's why I wanted to know an approx. from after deplaning. I will be the last or one of the last ones, as I'm using a wc and will need assistence. With waiting for the chair, I'm counting on not being one of the quick ones at the airport. ;) Looking at the 90 minutes, adding on an extra 30 for getting everything arranged and some extra waiting, I'm not counting on getting to check in before 2,5 hours after deplaning. Anything earlier will be a nice benefit, but not counting on it.

(If I don't get any big delays, that is. Knock on wood! ;) )

Yep! If you are on one of those 757's in the back, it takes the longest! Of course when you expect a longer wait, everything will go super fast. I think you are right to plan on the longer, and 2.5 hours IMO is a good estimate.

Enjoy your vacation!:cool1:

:lmao: You may never guess again! A 757 is correct. I'm not planning on being in the back (got front row seat on medical reasons), but the 757's and 737's are one of the worser planes to board and deplane (let alone fly comfortably), so I've allready decided a "smooth sailing" will be out of the question.

And I will definately enjoy it, can hardly wait. :cool2: Thnx!
