How long from EP to Contemporary?

We have an ADR for Chef Mickey's dinner at 5:30 on a day we're planning to be at EPCOT. What time should we leave EPCOT and hop on the monorail? I don't know how long the monorail takes from EPCOT to the Contemporary.

Keep in mind that you will have to switch monorails. The one that goes to Epcot is not the same one that goes to the resorts. The wait is not usually very long, but leave yourself plenty of time. I'd give myself a good 45 minutes from start to finish.

PLEASE allow a minimum 45 minutes. Last Nov we had an 11:20 breakfast (with last seating at 11:30). Left EPCOT at 10:50 on monorail. Swapped to resort monorail at TTC and even got to ride with driver. BUT there was also a mechanic on board and we stopped at every resort for him to check something. Monorail called Chef Mickeys and explained. We arrived at 11:40 (50 minutes later) but they seated us anyway with fresh, hot food and lots of character interaction!! Good luck!!
